In Tom Wolfe’s reading “Hooking Up”, I found shocking was his perception about pornography and the role it played with relationships and marriages. Wolfe states that a male could spent countless of hours in front of a computer screen but the female could not offer any pleasure to get him to back away. This proved that men are extremely fascinated with internet pornography. Wolfe now proceeds to address the idea of men who have been married for decades leaving their wives to search for a “trophy wife”.
