THE PROBLEM I. INTRODUCTION
Digitization has changed the landscape of industry. Thus, technology never failed contributing to the success of every business. We can’t changes the fact that, in this era, computer makes the world go round in such a way that in almost everything a human do in life, there are electronic devices involved.
There is a significant role of technology in the progress and success of businesses. The aid of Information Systems plays a big part for improving transaction in businesses, thus creating a speedy processes of delivering services of companies/businesses to their costumers/counterparts. Through this, both the business and consumers gain benefits.
The bigger the company means the bigger the responsibility of Information Technology. Technology solves human problems they say, so it does. But it is not only the big companies that encounter a problem. The small ones even do. Therefore, there is always a need for utilizing technology in this case.
There are business that uses a manual method of recording each of their transactions in selling their products. Most of them are still on the pencil-paper process by which requires more time and effort for each transaction compared to an automated process. In this case, it could be a big problem. The logic could be, the more transaction you will make is the more products/services you can sell/render, thus, the more revenue you can get. Therefore, a slow transaction process is a big problem and should be solved. A way to solve such problem is by implementing an automated approach.
Automation is used for a repetitive task or to some repeating processes. An Information System is a technology to solve a human problem by converging advanced software tools and electronic devices.
