...| Undergraduate Program determines whether we pursue Post-Graduate Degree | Prepared for Dr. A. F. M. Ataur Rahman (ECO455.1) | Gazi Musayab Raffan ( 0910486520)&Mohsin Ul Amin Khan (0910894520) | Abstract The purpose of this research was to find out whether undergraduate performance and program of students reflect the motivation for continuing further education into Post-Graduate level. The research is based on questionnaire survey of fifty Undergraduate students from five different Universities in Dhaka. The questionnaire had 13 questions that were used to find out about the programs and CGPA of the participants as well as their plans for opting for Master’s level education. Since the survey was based on students currently pursuing their Bachelor’s we tried to know as much as possible about their plans for further education. In this regard we have assumed that the students who have planned out their further education in details have greater possibility of actually enrolling for Master’s level education. So we set the questions in such a way so as to reflect well the mental preparation as well other factors for planning ahead. Upon analyzing the data a correlation between the hypothesized constructs have been found in general. Though some questions had given us mixed results, taken as a whole the research does find a relationship between undergraduate performance and program and the continuation of further education. Acknowledgements Firstly we would like...

...Networks, especially in the Network Management and Security Systems further stimulated my interest and have encouraged me to opt for post-graduation in Computer and Network System Security. After completing my high school, I enrolled myself for the graduate program in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. The well organized syllabus has given me a comprehensive exposure to the core areas of Digital Communication and Wireless Systems. I have developed a keen interest in these subjects mainly due to their highly mathematical approach. And because of my diligence and hard work I was able to score 62% in B.E. To acquire more practical knowledge of Networking Systems, I joined a firm, XXXX Enterprises as a Network Engineer in May 2010. While working with them I gained immense of experience. I completed my training and worked on many different Projects as a Network Engineer with them such as designing, setting up and managing the Network. The projects gave me hands-on experience in Linux administration, shell scripting, public private key cryptography and digital signatures. I thoroughly enjoyed researching and learning about the network security algorithms and implementing them in a practical situation. But to evolve in this competitive IT field and to progress further in my career I have to gain more knowledge and brush up my skills. That’s why a Post Graduate degree in Computer and Network Security Systems will not only keep me informed about the technological advances, but...

Career Services is a vital department of the university that is not being used to its fullest potential. While a number of students are continuing to graduate with a diploma of academic success, many still are not prepared for the real world. Majority of students spending an entire semester absorbing lectures and solely taking notes, to simply be tested. This does not qualify as a complete educational experience. While learning through lectures and studying is important, it should not encompass a hundred percent of a college semester. This repetitive form of learning is not thoroughly benefiting students. There is a significant piece of the puzzle that is absent from the university: Experience. I am calling this issue to your attention because a project of this scale would need funding from the department. Using the program “Applied Education”, designed to combine coursework and fieldwork into a holistic educational experience could be a benefit to you. I understand that you assure SJU students are receiving the best advice to compete in today's global marketplace. It was through your innovative new model, that the university has significantly increased student engagement with Career...

Studying in Prague will allow me to mature and experience personal growth by being immersed in a new culture and independently taking on the challenges of living in a foreign country. My personal growth will be channeled through the variety of CHID and PolSci courses the program offers and also engage in intellectually stimulating international field trips. Although I will not be dealing with a language barrier in my classes, I will come across people of many ethnicities and customs throughout Prague and Central Europe. From now until my departure, I plan to research Prague’s numerous cultural aspects to increase my respect and understanding of its social and cultural norms and not confuse them with my own. ...represents your mastery of the Course Learning Outcome 5 and the MAED Program Learning Outcome 8. Federal guidelines require children who have an Individual Education Plan (IEP) to have a Transition Plan for post-graduation beginning after their 16th birthday and, in some cases, as early as after their 14th birthday. This meeting is separate from the IEP meeting and focuses on the student’s interests, independence, and self-determination (Wright & Darr-Wright, 2013). The purpose of the Transition Plan meeting is for all stakeholders in the student’s education to help plan an independent future for the student. According to IDEA 2004, Transition Services refers to: is designed to be a results-oriented process, that is focused on improving the academic and functional achievement of the child with a disability to facilitate the child’s movement from school to post-school activities, including post-secondary education, vocational education, integrated employment (including supported employment), continuing and adult education, adult services, independent living, or community participation; is based on the individual child’s needs, taking into account the child’s strengths, preferences, and interests; includes instruction, related services, community experiences, the development of employment and other post-school adult living objectives, and, when appropriate, acquisition of daily living skills and functional vocational evaluation. ...rising interest rates, but most importantly, the lack of student debt relief knowledge. The Canadian Federation of Students has an ongoing debt clock which reflects the Canadian student loan debt of over 13.9 billion dollars, with an average debt per student upon graduation of approximately 25,000 dollars. This shouldn’t be surprising, knowing that since 1990, the average net income of middle-class families in Ontario has risen only 12.5 percent, all the while, tuition costs have risen from 2,500 dollars per year, to 6,500 dollars, an increase of an astounding 260 percent. This trend of rising tuition costs is consistent throughout the majority of Canadian provinces. Today’s Canadian post-secondary students are capable of controlling their debts, provided, they decrease their loans by minimizing their school fees and costs of living through being resourceful and staying informed. By being accepted to a post secondary institution, students have demonstrated that they have the intelligence and knowledge to succeed in their studies. Staying at university or college, however, takes more than just smarts, it takes resourcefulness. Knowing how to reduce student debt on a grand scale is important for the years after graduation. There are still plenty of ways to save money and reduce the size of student loans during the four to five years students spend in university or college. Starting with the first year, the most common costs are as follows: tuition and incidental...

... complaints and customer satisfaction. The Federal Acquisition Regulation includes a set of four performance objectives: (1) to satisfy the customer in terms of cost, quality, and timeliness of the delivered product or service, (2) to minimize administrative operating cost, (3) to conduct business with integrity, fairness, and openness, and (4) to fulfill public policy objectives. Incorporating these objectives and operating under the clear definition, is critical to a Contracting Officer or Specialist. Before I was in the contracting field, I was in logistics in the military. Some of my duties were as follows: Establishes and maintains stock records and other records; establishes and maintains automated and manual accounting records, posts receipts and turn-ins; reviews and verifies quantities received against shipping documents; prepares and maintains records on equipment usage, operation, maintenance, modification, and calibration; processed inventories, surveys, and warehousing documents; prepares, annotates,, and distributes shipping documents; performs accounting and sales functions in self-service supply. These are just a few examples of what I did in logistics. Logistics, to me, was another way, and at the time, the only form of acquisition that I knew of. I wasn’t aware of all the things that went on in acquiring a supply. I used our automated retail supply system to...
