Thus policy makers attempt to pursue financial sector policies to propel financial intermediaries to extend more credit to SMEs. Access to credit still remains a challenge to SMEs especially those in developing economies and continues to dominate discussions both within business circles and policy makers. In Nepal, for instance, a survey by Ferrari et al (2006) entitled to “Access to financial services in Nepal” indicated that lack of adequate access to credit topped factors hampering the growth of small businesses in Nepal. The general objective of this study is to explore the situation of access to finance of SMEs for their innovation and entrepreneurship. It also examines the firm specific attributes of access to bank credit in Nepal by focusing on SMEs in the Chitwan District. The study employed the quantitative approach to research in which the convenience sampling criteria was employed to select seventy-two small firms from the Bharatpur Municipality of Chitwan district. Summary Poultry breeding process includes parents farming of broilers and layers to produce the “day-old-chick (DOC)” and growing them in turn produce the broilers. Breeding Broiler/Layer chicks involves three unique production stages namely, Brooding, Growing and Laying. Each stage is notable specific to time frame say brooding is for 8 weeks, growing is from 9-24th weeks and laying from 25th week till the life span of the chick. In each of the three stages there is a need to feed chicks, need to raise the pullets to maturity and while fertile harvest their egg production. When hatched these eggs are the next generation of the cross-bed chicks. The final products of this process—are the broilers marketed to the meat industry and the market. The layers are sold to the farmers which again go through the distinct stages and produce table eggs that are available in the market. People employed in slaughterhouses are exposed many types of hazards on a daily basis that can jeopardize their health. Since the 1900s, there has been a significant incline in the demand for meat within the United States, which requires more people to work in production. (2013). A majority of these employees are classified as being a minority, having low socioeconomic status, and living in poverty. The conditions of these slaughterhouses are hazardous and dangerous and many employees are prone to exposure to more diseases due to the high rate of unsanitary factors such as animal bodily fluid on floors, hooks, walls, and tools. Injuries often occur in this work environment are due to quick speeds of the process lines and the amount of time employees are given to slaughter each animal. (Food Empowerment Project, 2014). These employees are also vastly underpaid. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, “In May 2012, the median annual wage for slaughterers and meat packers was $24,330.
