The hypothesis is which scandal in the United States affects the society the most and which one affects each individual the most. The variables that are to be considered are the scandals. The ethical considerations that we have to take in account are that we must keep those who survey anonymous, choose people we know will benefit the research and be careful not to take the survey answers out of context. Our level of data will consist of raw data of ratio, to state how many or how much. The sample size will only be a minimum of twenty of random friends or people in the area to represent the community. We will sample by asking people we know or random people in our neighborhood. ...Preparing to Conduct Business Research: Part 1 Learning Team A RES/351 May 11, 2015 Kristy Peterson Why it is Essential to Conduct Research Labor laws are implemented internationally; however, there are common issues with U.S. companies violating labor rights. Reasoning behind partnerships with western countries are commonly due to a significantly lower minimum wage, available resources, as well as manpower. As advantageous as this may be for U.S. companies, it is still immensely paramount that companies, such as Apple, do their research. If Apple were to do the necessary studies, it is more than likely to remain ethically responsible and avoid the negligence of labor laws and human rights. If Apple is violating labor rights and involved in child labor, the company could suffer a loss to customers and investors. The violations could also be grounds for a large financial loss if the company faces a lawsuit. Can it be solved with Business Research Apple has been dealing with accusations that essentially claim they are violating labor rights. In 2014, an author for ‘The New York Times’ stated “The employees are made to work excessive overtime and handle toxic chemicals without proper protective clothing.” (Gough & Chen, 2014) Thorough business research can solve many of the problems and accusations that Apple is facing. The proper research could provide resources and ideas to administer that can prevent any unethical conditions that are occurring or may occur...
