Reasoning behind partnerships with western countries are commonly due to a significantly lower minimum wage, available resources, as well as manpower. As advantageous as this may be for U.S. companies, it is still immensely paramount that companies, such as Apple, do their research. If Apple were to do the necessary studies, it is more than likely to remain ethically responsible and avoid the negligence of labor laws and human rights. If Apple is violating labor rights and involved in child labor, the company could suffer a loss to customers and investors. The violations could also be grounds for a large financial loss if the company faces a lawsuit.
