...I started with the thought in my head that I was quiter proficient at writing essays. In high school I winged most of my essays and still received high grades, but I was taught in this class that just writing the essay wasn’t all that I needed to do. In the beginning of the class with essay 1 I just wrote it in one sequence, never stopping to try and reorganizing it. My organization skills were off balance and I had trouble with mistaking my corrections for revising. As I made my way to essay 2 and received an 81% I realized that writing in sequential order and not paying attention to the organization of my essay wasn’t going to cut it. I took the criticism on essay 2 and applied it to my essay 3. I wrote essay 3 from start to finish like I normally did because writing out of order still confuses my train of thought. After I finished writing it though, I took it to peer review and really tried to gain something out of it. By participating in the peer review, I got to get constructive feedback that actually helped me revise my essay once I revisited it. Peer review was a positive experience that truly helped me. By the time I finished essay 3, my writing process had become more thorough,...

...Toyota Motor Manufacturing, USA, INC. Background In the early 1980’s, Japanese automakers contemplated building cars in North America. Japan’s huge trade imbalance had caused political pressure to mount, while the economic feasibility of such investment had improved with a rapidly rising yen. At that time, however it was unclear whether cars produced outside Japan could live up to their hard-earned reputation of high quality at low cost. This issue was far from settled in 1985 when Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) unveiled its plan to open and $800 million Greenfield plant in Kentucky. Thus, the company’s endeavor to transplant to unique production system to Bluegrass Country effectively became a live experiment for the world to watch. In July 1988, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, USA. (TMM) began volume production on a 1,300-acre site in Georgetown, near Lexington. The plant had an annual capacity of 200,000 Toyota Camry sedans, which would replace the bulk of Japanese imports of the same model. In 1992, TMM was expected to supply 240,000 of all the new Camry’s, whose sales were up by more than 20% since the model change in fall 1991. The new Camry joined the ranks of midsize family sedans, with constituted one third of the total American car market and returned an average 17% pretax profit margin on margin on a sticker price averaging $18,500. For the first time, in March 1992, TMM started producing wagon versions of the new Camry exclusively within Toyota’s worldwide plant...

A process essay explains a process by either defining it, explaining the steps for completing the process oneself or by showing how a thing works. My process topic was “Things to Do in Case of Hurricane”. I explained the processes such as before the hurricane, during the hurricane and after the hurricane. The second type of the essay that I dealt is the cause and effect essay. That was one of the useful types of the essay because everybody can learn...

...Process Essay Information on your credit report can impact your credit score in a negative or positive way in fact, it’s the only thing that impacts your score. Your credit score in turn determines your ability to obtain credit, get approved for loans, get the job that you’re been dreaming of and even the ability to be assured for homeowner’s insurance. Having a poor credit score will either keep you from obtaining credit altogether or will place you in a high-risk category which means, your interest rate will be significantly higher than someone with excellent credit. By implementing steps that allows you to clean up your credit and boost your credit score, will position you to take advantage of receiving lower interest rates and saving money. For example, if you apply for a $25,000, 60 months, new auto loan and your credit score is between 734 and up, you could qualify for a rate of 1.75 percent. ...Agbana Preye Mike, English 101-6, Process Essay, 10/02/2013. HOW TO MAKE ORANGE JUICE Why spend so much money on orange juice for breakfast when you can make it yourself in the convenience of your kitchen at very little cost? The process is very easy and takes a very short time to complete. You also won’t need sophisticated appliances to make orange juice and the materials needed are readily available. The easiest method of making orange juice is to use the “citrus juicer”. You only need the “citrus juicer”, knives, water, fresh oranges and a fruit and vegetable wash which you can get from your nearby store. The citrus juicer looks just like a blender. It consists basically of two parts, a reamer and a collecting cup beneath the reamer To begin, you have to check your citrus juicer for dust and debris and make sure to wipe off impurities with cloth dipped in warm water. A small layer of dust in your juicer could mar the delicious taste of the juice. Cleaning should be done while the juicer is unplugged as it could cause an electric shock to the user. Also check your citrus juicer to make sure all its components are functioning properly. You don’t want to finish a stage in the process of making your juice and find out that the part of your juicer needed for the next stage is not working properly. Apart from that, operating a faulty machine may cause injury to the operator or may even damage the machine. The next stage is to wash and...

...Is Homework Harmful or Helpful? Homework is defined as an out of class task assigned to students to help them practice and prepare for their future. Homework has been around for a very long time. It is set and traced as a tradition of having teachers assigning work and students completing it. Parents say that teachers require it and teachers say that parents demand more of it. Teachers assign homework to help some students improve their grade and pass the course for those of who do not do well on tests or standardized examinations. Can homework be considered helpful or harmful to students? This controversy turns into arguments and disagreements. For me, homework totally can help students in study because there are many benefits we can get from doing homework. Everyone has their own opinion right? I have my own opinion too about this topic because I think it is better if I say homework is helpful to students. Why? There are my own reasons why I support this topic. First of all, homework builds up an initiative in students. They initiate study. Teachers get the schoolwork done from students whereas students initiate doing homework. There is a sense of responsibility associated with completing their homework. Children feel responsible for finishing homework and accomplished when they do it. They start allotting their time to study and play thus learning to complete their scheduled tasks in the time they have. Moreover, they learn to do things on their own. They manage...

...How to Organize a Paintball Event Have you ever dreamed of shooting your family or friends? Perhaps you will get the chance if you offer to organize a paintball event. It is a great way to relieve stress and have fun at the same time. Even if the stepmother from hell is on the same team as you, keep in mind there is such a thing as “friendly fire” (“accidentally” shooting someone on your team). Organizing a paintball event isn’t as easy as it seems. You need to know how many people are attending, what they need to bring, and the waivers need to be signed. The first step is to check out local fields. Some things to look for are, the ratio of referees to players, goggle signs, barrel plugs and personality of the staff. Typically, playing fields are crowded on the weekend. Most fields will open during the week for a group of twenty or more, but do ask. Price is also a consideration; this is an expensive hobby. Expect to pay at least $85 for a case of paint, goggle rental and a paintball marker (gun) rental for a four-hour session. Preferably, try to plan the outing when the weather is comfortable. Playing in the 100 degree Texas heat would be rough on most corporate types. On the day of the event, it is best for everyone participating to dress in layers. Being hit with a paintball does sting. Professionals recommend wearing gloves and a hat as hand shots and headshots seem to hurt the most. Wear comfortable shoes, cleats if possible, if not tennis shoes with good tread....

...Making a Youtube commentary Have you ever felt like having a cool hobby that entertains you, but also entertains others at the same time. Well if you ever like that, making youtube commentary’s just might be right thing for you. Here is the process to get you started. The first thing you need is a computer. It is very important that you have a computer with plenty of space in the hard drive. The reason for this is because you’re going to need to store game play video, and regular videos, and depending on how much work you want to put into this hobby the more videos you’re going to need. The second thing you’re going to need is a capture card. In case you don’t know a capture card is a video capture, it records anything when you hook it up with your game console. That way you can play video games and record everything you do in it. With this part of the process explain now I can move to the next step. The next process is getting an editing software. This is really important because with an editing software you can choose what to cut off your video and what not to. Also note that not all editing software are the same, but if I had to recommend one it would be Sony Vegas. Along with getting an editing software you also need a microphone with it you can record your voice and synchronize it with the video, and make it look like as you’re talking over it. That alone brings more entertainment to your video and attracts audience because they want to hear what you talk about, and your...

... which will then grow into a beautiful smile that will last a life time. When pulling a tooth it is important to always have an adult around to help. Now it’s time to start working on pulling that front tooth. All we need is our pointer finger, an apple, wet paper towel, glass of water and an ice cube. Let’s start wiggling that tooth! Let’s start working out the tooth to help it come out a little easier. First, we need our pointer finger for this first step. Let’s begin to press back on the tooth with our pointer finger for fifteen seconds. We have to remember not to press to hard, just hard enough that we can feel a tingling at the bottom of our tooth around the gum. Now let’s repeat the process, but this time pressing the tooth forward. We need to repeat this process several times for the next several hours or until the tooth can easily be moved by the tongue. At this point it seems like a good stopping point for a snack, right? For this step we need the apple, not so much for a snack but to help with the pulling of the tooth. The apple is going to help put a little extra pressure on the tooth just enough to pop it out. Make sure the first bite is a big one. We’re going to count to three and on the count of three take one big bite into that red, juicy apple. Ready? One…two…THREE! Did it come out? The tooth should now have fallen out, but if the tooth didn’t come out we need to continue to chomp down on the apple until the tooth falls out. This step can...

...n today's society, divorce is more the norm than ever before. There are as many causes for divorce as there are people who divorce. Divorce itself is both a cause and an effect. There are many factors that contribute to divorce, such as lack of money, drug and/or alcohol abuse, immaturity of one or both parties, sexual indiscretion, the ease of getting a divorce, and various others. Divorce is the effect of a marriage that is faced with difficulties that seem insurmountable, an inability to get along, one or both partner's growing apart, substance abuse, a culture that condones divorce, legal ease of getting a divorce, the inexpensiveness of getting a divorce and other factors. Commitments do not last. A couple stays married until times get hard or another person is found more attractive, or any number of other reasons. The bottom line is the lack of commitment in most cases. This general lackadaisical attitude toward the sanctity of marriage is a major cause of divorce. Many people cite money as the cause of divorce. In fact, the statistics of a survey conducted by Citibank on the divorce in the United States suggested that more than fifty percent of divorced couples cited money problems as the cause of their divorce (34). Money has a role in society and in marriage. Lack of money causes discord between a married couple. This can be referred to as financial incompatibility, which is based on the views that each partner has of the partnership of marriage from a financial viewpoint...

...How to win With each new football season comes a new fantast football season. New senses of hope and joy that this could be the year that you win it all start to set in. The preparation for the draft is as important as the draft itself. The first step to creating a successful fantasy team is to join a league well before the season. This is important because without joining a league it is impossible to make a winning team. Danny joined his league three weeks before his draft date, which will give him ample time to prepare for it. After joining a league the next step is to learn the rules of the league so planning who to draft becomes specified. The rules of the league determine the size of the roster along with the points that are earned each week by the individual players. The categories that the rules cover are normally passing yards, passing touchdowns, rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, receptions, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, fumbles, and defensive stats like points allowed. In Danny’s league the rules read that he needs one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, one tight end, one kicker, and one defense. The rules state that points will be awarded for passing yards, passing touchdowns, rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, receptions, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, fumbles, field goals, and defensive stats. The next step is to create a predraft layout of the team that will fill the needs of the rules. When doing this keep in mind the categories...

...Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling WAES April 07 The Case Study Introduction The purpose of this case study is to show process during the time I saw this client at Southwark Bereavement Care. In it I intend to focus on how the psychodynamic approach that I used with my client was effective and helped my client to have an understanding of the way he relates to people and to himself. For this I will cover the first 3 sessions and explore my thoughts on the process. The setting Southwark Bereavement Care is a short term, free counselling service offered to people living in the London borough of Southwark who have been bereaved. It offers weekly one to one sessions up to twelve weeks. This can be extended for a few more weeks in individual cases where both counsellor and supervisor agree it would be beneficial for client. Group supervision is provided by the agency fortnightly. The agency is based on the first floor of an office building in a residential area of south London. Clients are seen in a room towards the back of the house, which is quiet and dimly lit, with 2 sofas and a little table where there is a water filter and a box of tissues. There isn’t a waiting area and part of the contract that counsellors discuss with clients and request them not to turn up for session earlier than their allocated time. This has proven to be challenging at times when clients arrive early and counsellors have to let them in and use the waiting area that belongs...

...FOOTBALL GAME The crowd sat on the edge, waiting impatiently for the next pass, the next tackle. This intense game had both teams fighting for control of the ball, struggling to score the next touchdown. The crowd was alive with concentration, which was then immediately interrupted by deafening cheers as soon as their team scored. As a fan, football from my perspective has always been a phenomenal sport that creates an intense, fun, and lively social atmosphere. It gives a chance for friends and family to bond over cheering their team on, while jokingly trash talking others in a casual manner. At a particular Eagles vs. Cowboys game I attended last year, this experience is exactly what I received. The lights, the screams, and the smell of delicious food all served to create a fun event. The highlight of the night, however, was when quarterback Michael Vick got hit extremely hard in the back field. It should have been a late hit but no whistles were blown. The crowd was immediately silenced by the sudden knockout. No one had expected such a hard hit. We fans craned our neck desperately trying to get a better view of what was going on. I remember being completely in awe of the violent nature of football that was revealed to me that night. I was surprised to find that such a dangerous game was even being encouraged to play! But there was one thing that was undeniable for sure— that hit was one moment I would surely never...
