Process Reflection: Standard 1 Working with team Green and unwrapping the ISLLC Standard 1 was an enormous learning experience for all team members involved. Everyone on the team is positive and motivated to be successful. There were a few issues to overcome, however I see this as process of practice in becoming an educational administrator. The first issue to overcome was just figuring out who was in our group, and somehow communicating with each other. Out of the four people in our group, no one had taken an online course that required Collaborative Learning Groups. Once the team members were identified, it was a just a matter of communicating to get the assignment rolling. The group used emails, text messaging, and the discussion forum to communicate with each other. How to divide the assignment up among group members was another issue the group had to overcome. Once we decided the part that each group member would complete, each member completed his or her part and submitted as his or her part of the final assignment. When a portion of the assignment was published, each group member would give their thoughts, ideas, and opinions on any changes that might need to be made. In order for this to work, all members agreed that critiques or criticism must be made in a positive manner. In conclusion, this was an awesome learning experience for a first assignment. Having group members with different backgrounds and ideas allows for an overall better experience in the collaboration process. Collaborating in an actual classroom is difficult enough; however, relying on written communication is even a greater challenge. Therefore, I can foresee changes and adjustments made as we go forward with the Collaborative Learning Groups. I believe that all the group members feel that getting the first standard completed will give us a better understanding of how to work within the group to complete future assignments.

We learned the four functions of the management process, division of labor, critical thinking, and communicating clearly and affectively.
