Completing research on the desired product and choosing the company that makes the highest quality product while offering a competitive price is the best way to proceed. The marketing for recumbent bicycles does not use every media outlet that is available for advertising. Most of the advertising for recumbent bicycles is through the Internet and magazines. Another method of advertising used is through the use of celebrities, such as Lance Armstrong. Advertisement through product placement is also used in movies and television. Word of mouth advertising has also been a source for sales in relation to these bicycles. These types of bicycles are used in multiple publicized races and as a result indirect marketing was achieved. New Product Analysis

...In 2016, the idea of conceal and carry gun ownership is becoming more and more socially acceptable. If the person with the concealed firearm is doing what they should, nobody will know that they have their firearm. From 2011 to 2014 the number of conceal and carry permits increased from just over 4 million permits nationwide to over 11 million permits being issued by local governments. While that does seem like a small number compared to the over 325 million people in the country, the number of conceal carry permit increase between 1999 and 2011 was only 1.5 million permits. One of the main weaknesses to a division solely purposed for conceal and carry is that not all 50 states have the ability to receive these permits. This means that there is a large portion of the population that will not be customers of yours no matter how successful the division is. Since this an election year in the United States, many politicians will use gun control as a platform to run on. The large portion of the American public will also go to the polls and vote on their candidates based on their belief that we need to severely limit access to firearms. With only a portion of states issuing conceal and carry permits, that leaves quite a bit of opportunity to expand your customer base through legislation and lobbying in congress to make states make the permits more and more available. This will increase the market size of the customer base. The main threat to the success of a conceal...

Product Analysis and Marketing for Rimm

...INDIVIDUAL PRODUCT/SERVICE ANALYSIS GCHAWLA MKT 555 – SECTION 340 JUNE 9, 2010 I recently purchased a Research in Motion’s (RIM) Blackberry Curve 8900. RIM has a commanding 56% share of the $12 billion U.S. smart phone market, and its sales are still accelerating. In fact, according to industry tracker IDC, the bestselling smart phone in the U.S. so far this year by units is not the iPhone but the BlackBerry Curve. The Curve’s competitors include the Apple iPhone and the Motorola Android smart phone. Most people think of Apple as RIM's biggest threat. While that may be true, there is probably no single event that has done more for RIM's business than the iPhone launch. It was Apple that convinced consumers that they could enjoy the ease and power of a desktop in a handheld device, thus opening a vast new market. Overnight the smart phone became, by popular demand, a consumer device. Since the iPhone's introduction in June 2007, BlackBerry quarterly sales have more than tripled, from $1.1 billion to $3.4 billion. Three of the five top-selling mobile phones in the U.S. are now BlackBerrys. Blackberry uses a demographic segmentation approach. Traditionally, Blackberry phones have been targeted to business professionals only. They were not priced or developed for the every day cellular user. The Blackberry Curve 8900 is still primarily targeted to the business professional. The phone comes preloaded with the mobile version of Microsoft Office...
