...Career Planning Essay According to Werner and DeSimone (2009), career planning can be defined as “a deliberate process of becoming aware of self, opportunities, constraints, choices, and consequences 2) identifying career-related goals and 3) programming work, education, and related developmental experiences to provide the direction, timing, and sequence of steps to attain a specific career goal. Each individual has unique goals that he/she has to meet which helps them in exploring career options and obtaining certain skills that will help them in future. Below are three main questions (taken from Human Resource Development textbook) based on self assessment, future goals and plan to achieve the goals. The questions include 1) where do I want to be, 2) Where am I now, and, 3) How am I going to get there. The questions are discussed in detail based on my career planning. Where do I want to be?
