DISCUSSION POINTS
➢ The meeting started at about 8:00PM with a short prayer said by Mr. Chidozie Uwalaka.

➢ In the absence of the President of the Union, Mr. Dennis Nwoke, the Vice President Mr. Johnson Okorie made the opening remark following the Chairman’s opening remarks; Mr. Richard Onyeneho read the Meeting Minutes from the last meeting.

➢ Dr. Nwosu approved the minutes seconded by Mr. Patrick Ibekwe.

➢ The following corrections were made to the last meeting minute:

o Dr. Nwosu cited the President/Vice cannot approve meeting minutes o Chigbo’s absence in the last meeting was not work related rather family emergency.

➢ Following the meeting minutes was a Roll Call of members present at the meeting both physically and via conference.

➢ Mr. Richard Onyeneho expressed the reasons why the general meeting schedules for the past two months had to be cancelled – citing lack of member participation, lack of Executive meeting member attendance.

➢ Dr. Nwosu also commented on the cancellation of meetings citing that the meeting had witnessed good attendance record therefore, and not a god reason to cancel scheduled meetings.

➢ Mr. Patrick Ibekwe cited also that the reason for canceling the meetings was that the Executives were somewhat disconnected. There had been NO executive meetings prior to a general meeting.

➢ Mr. Onyeneho noted that the elected Executive member’s tenure (2years) elapsed in August 2012. Therefore, there is need to call for new elections.

➢ Mr. Charles Ogbuehi stressed on the executives not carrying out their duties effectively. On the same issue, Dr. Nwosu also indicated that the lack Executive’s commitment and speaking with one voice was the reason for the cancellation of meetings. Furthermore, Dr. Nwosu stressed that the Executives should come together and address the meeting why the meetings were cancelled. Dr.
