This movie is definitely worth the watch! I will be passing this around for a long time my 8 year old watched it with me and he can’t wait to tell his friends. I found many facts that it didn’t know before like how blue algae are why the water turns its color. I’ve always been fascinated with life form itself so there weren’t any parts of the movie that didn’t interest me. Coral reef is very important to the waters making up only about 1% it holds thousands of life forms and provides equilibrium balance in the waters. Agriculture was only invented about 10,000 years ago and it is still the world’s leading occupation! The information in this movie really opened my eyes to what we are destroying, as humans. Oil, coal, and natural gas being pumped out of the earth are being used for machine power instead of man power causing more greenhouse gas which is destroying earth. Since 1950, the earth’s population has tripled, billions of people have migrated to major cities, and the earth has been altered more within these 60 years then it has in the last 200,000. Villages that were small 40-50 years ago are now heavy populated cities. It’s pretty sad that Nigeria is one the most popular oil exporter but 70% lives below poverty. It is like this worldwide; the ones that have the most natural resources are the poorest countries. There are only about 30 million farmers left and they produce enough grain for 2 billion people but almost 50% of it gets processed to feed livestock or biofuels. The more countries develop the more meat it needs to consume and results in concentration camp style cattle farms. It takes 100 liters of water to produce 1 kilogram of potatoes, 400,000 liters to produce 1 kilo of rice and 13,000 to produce 1 kilo of beef plus all the oil you need to transport all that food.
