Project management skills are an important aspect for anyone seeking to get into the management field. Many employers are looking for these skills in their candidates because most of the work is managed by using some type of process to make sure the project is incorporated into the company correctly. One aspect is to manage a project using known methodologies taught during this course but the other component is about learning to integrate personal morals and standards when necessary in making decisions. The course Info Systems Capstone (ISM 491a) challenged me to think critically about managing a project from beginning to end and how to make decisions based on morals and personal influences. However, learning to manage a project correctly takes on many areas at once that can challenge you all at the same time. PMI (2015) institute defines project management as the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet the project requirements.
