Nicole was sitting in the car with her husband Chance on their way to her sisters funeral, Chance had been complaining saying he had not wanted to come for unsaid reasons. Nicole had exploded at that comment in rage and sadness, how come her husband- her soulmate- did not want to come see the person who meant the most to her in the entire world. Upon questioning, her husband hadn't given her any reason as to why he didn't want to go.
"I just don't want to" he had said just moments earlier in the car. She screamed at him, accusing him of not loving her after everything they went through together.
Little did she know that her husband would reach to calm her, little did she know the car would swerve, Little did she know her world would come crashing down.

That's what Nicole feels everyday of her life, ever since that day she felt like she was paused in time forced to relive the moment's of the accident. She remembered the moment of impact, her husbands hands just barely touching her skin, Nicole's screams rang through the air. She remembered when they pulled her out of the car and rushed her to the hospital, she remembered when her family had come bursting through the doors tears streaming down their faces thinking they had lost another. But most of all she remembered the moment they told her he didn't make it, that she would never get to see her husbands eyes, hear his voice, cuddle next to him during stormy nights. Never get to have kids. She will never be able to tell him "I love You" she will never be able to stop herself from saying "I Hate You" when she should have said "I Live for

This paper intends to make an analysis of the language in the collection of stories “The Canterbury Tales”, written by Geoffrey Chaucer at the end of 14th century. We will analyze the language used to describe characters. It was based on the idea that every choice made by the author of a sentence is meaningful. Therefore, once we understand the choices the author makes when describing a character, we are able to have a better understanding of what this author expects of the readers.
