It is undoubtedly true that carpooling is turning into one of the common means of transport for many people, especially those who work in the same place or nearby places. The option is a very good idea to consider if you don´t have your own car or you don´t want to lose time travelling in public transport. However, It has both pros and cons.
On the one hand, It is true that carpooling offers a lot of benefits. For instance, It helps not only to reduce your car related expenses (maintenance, gasoline and oil), but also It helps to relieve stress levels, as you can escape from driving in high-traffic situation. Moreover, It helps to protect the environment.
On the contrary, I think it has negative aspects. It requires a lot of punctually and you need at least a minimum of people to car pool. In addition, you will have to sacrifice a certain amount of independence of time while carpooling.
In fact, I´ve recently shared a car with a stranger to attend a course and I liked the experience. The boy picked me up at home. He was very polite and we agreed to share the fuel expenses so I not only save money, but also I had a good time during the drive.
