After going over the readings, it seems as though the Junto (including Benjamin Franklin) appear to be very open to criticism, questioning, and self-doubt. The salons were integral components in forming a society who were critical thinkers, even if that meant going against their own initial standpoints. With this being said, I believe that the discussions that the Junto held cultivated critical thoughts, and presented members with different viewpoints on certain topics. The discussions allowed members of the Junto to think outside of their own paradigm, as different opinions and experiences were presented before them. This tells us a lot about the nature of Enlightenment; mainly its ability to encourage liberty and progress. By refining generations
