Have people ever thought about technology helping us improve our society? Although some people claim that we developed technology to make our lives easier and make it become our servants. Our opponents also think that we will always depend on technology and decide to let it do everything. Well, who would want to work harder and do everything by hand while having technology sit right in front of you and help you? However, there are several reasons to oppose this point of view because technology is currently helping us suppress diseases and helping us complete our jobs. There is great debate over whether technology should be allowed to go ahead or should it cease to continue all together. A negative effect of technology is the fact that many products as the result of technology are said to the beginning if the dehumanization of society. On the other hand, the production of new technology really creates a more advanced and convenient society for all of us to live in. There are many inventions that can help us in our daily lives to communicate and interact with people on a personal level, a business level, and a societal level. Technology has become a very important part of our personal lives.Technology can be helpful on an everyday basis because we can communicate and bond with our family, friends, and ourselves. The time that people, including children, these days spend in front if the television would be much better spent if they were to spend that time and communicating connecting with their family and friends. In the modern day world that we live in, technology is forever changing and improving around us just like new inventions like IPhone 5 and soon it'll probably be IPhone 5S. While being far away from your loved ones, you can always use electronics to web-cam with them by using an application called Skype or cell phones to come in contact with them.

...ddddddddddddddddddsdIn this argument essay I hope to point out and give some feedback on the pros and cons of the effects of technology on educations. That by incorporating technology into our schools would and could make us stronger and more up to speed with surrounding countries. The Effects of Technology on Education The topic of the effects of technology on students is a concern for teachers, school officials, parents, and students. Everyone wants to know if technology is really going to help our children learn more, and truly make a difference in the way teaching is currently being done in the classrooms. What will it cost to bring in technology, and can it be afforded without breaking the wallets of the parents and schools? Can technology help bring education back to life in our children’s lives, where they want to go to school and actually be there? We need to acknowledge that with technology many things can be achieved in education for all ages, grade levels, and countries. The educational system is much different from when we were in grammar school. Kindergarten is no longer about learning the basic skills of numbers, letters, shapes and colors; it has become a first grade level education. Our children now have to know the basics to be in kindergarten; and to be able to move on to first grade they have to be reading, doing basic math and writing. The schoolwork that is being asked of our children now is different, and more demanding than ten years ago (Richardson...

One of the groups is the proponents of genetically modified food. This group believes that genetically modified food is not harmful and thinks that it helps to feed the hungry world. On the opposite are the anti-GM foods. Basically, this group deem GM food as a hazard and harmful to humankind and environment. Ethical Issues Technology has become more as more advanced as the time passes and technology are slowly playing a very important role in people’s life. However, there are advantages as well as disadvantages of using technology. One important issue that arises with the use of technology is ethical issues. The management’s goal of each company should attempt to keep away from immoral as well as amoral practices. They should instead adopt a moral management practice. The aims of the management is suppose to be doing business in an ethical manner; they should only do what is right and fair, and avoid causing harm to others. In this case, Taco Bell was accused by the Genetically Engineered Food Alert Coalition of using StarLink genetically modified corn in taco shells. Llevi

...Personal Pair Proposal The case talks about Levi Strauss and Co, a privately held American clothing company known worldwide for its Levi’s brand of denim jeans. Levi’s was approached with a new concept called the Personal Pair. Custom Clothing Technology Corporation had offered Levi Strauss a joint venture proposal that would combine the Levi’s core products with emerging technologies of mass customization. CCTC’s plan was to make special customized jeans that would fit to meet each customer’s unique needs and taste. The problem is that Levi was not sure if they should accept the proposal or not. I analyzed the case by looking at the pros and the cons of the personal pair concept. I though one of the biggest cons of the program was the wait time. A person would first have to come in to get their sizes taken and than would have to wait an additional 3 weeks to get their product. Another con was that Levi would not carry any finished products, which meant that if someone wanted to buy a pair of jeans at the store they would not be able to purchase them and instead would have to pay a higher price to wait 3 weeks for their jeans. I would say that they should reject the proposal because the cons outweigh the pros. The new technology would increase the price of their product by adding another $15 to a pair of jeans, which would be a huge disadvantage for Levi. Levi was already struggling in the lower and upper ends of the apparel market and adding another $15 to their product...

The term “fingerprinting” is used because finger prints, like DNA, vary from person to person and no two people have the same DNA or fingerprints. So, when scientists identify a person’s DNA, it can only be linked back to one individual and can help to obtain information about that specific individual. DNA fingerprinting can be done through many different ways. Some ways are through blood samples from a vein or heel, saliva samples, skin samples, or hair samples. The purpose of DNA fingerprinting is to help link family members together, find things that cause diseases, to help aid in crime scene investigations, and to identify the deceased. The Pros of this technology are that it can help to bring justice to victims in a criminal case through identifying the guilty party and can help to identify diseases so that they can better be prevented. How Little Is Too Much

...How Little Is Too Much: Destructive Results of the Internet With the increase in the use of technology, the internet has allowed us to expand our minds, become more educated and assist us in connecting with others. On the other hand, the internet has also put us in a position of having information compromised, as well as being exposed to too much information, and opening the door to various unhealthy perceptions of beauty and additions associated with those perceptions. Unrealistic media images that are presented on the internet, in movies, magazines and models make it difficult for the average American woman to follow. Analysis of females, fictional or real, show a bias towards body weight well below the recommended size and weight for people in their age group. As a result, females who are unable to conform to the idea being put forth in the media are taking extreme measure to be more like their role models. Those that fall short of the idea of the “perfect” body shape can be vulnerable to depression, poor self-esteem, and general body dissatisfaction. With the increase in technology, we have more exposure to unrealistic standard for beauty. One example of this downside to technology is that of pro-eating disorder websites which are simply known as pro-ana/pro-mia websites. “Ana” is short for anorexia nervosa. It is a common eating disorder where individuals obsess about weight, what they eat and how much exercise they participate in. “Mia” is the shortened form of bulimia...
