The one time I have used a theory at work that has stood out the most to me would be trying to explain all the work we have to accomplish during the whole job instead of focusing on the part of that job that needed to be done that particular day. I pulled my dad aside one day and asked if we could just describe the work one day at a time instead of cramming the employees with work information for the full month of work. At first he just said that in order to complete the job the worker must now every detail for the whole job, but eventually I gave him an example of when you’re in school and you need to study for a test most people take all week to study because your brain can gain more information that way, but when people cram information in their head the day before a big test they usually fail that test because they put their brain into an overload state and cant process that much information at once .He finally agreed with me after that example and decided to give it a shot. I believe my theory has a mix of 3 research methods; Descriptive and correlational research, archival research, and naturalistic observation. I believe this because I got my theory from a previously situation I experience in my life that I studied the outcome of what happened when you crammed your brain full of too much information at once. But after I talked my dad into letting me try my way, I saw back and watched the jobsite flow better than ever and I didn’t have to worry about interfering and stopping the workers from doing something that was going to be done the next day. This seemed to work tremendously since the workers were only concerned with that day of work instead of worrying about everything else that my dad usually tells them we have to do.
