...cMeet the chef Hello everyone my name is Britney Radford; I will be your chef for the years to come. Here’s a little about me. I am 20 years old and live in Centerville TN. I am married to my wonderful husband for almost one year (October 25, 2011) who supports me in whatever I want to do. I enjoy cooking and learning new things. I especially love to bake, I can bake a spectacular cobbler (recipe will be given later, compliments of the chef). I like to collect cook books, particularly old cook books. I like to keep everything as natural as possible. I am an all organic cook, thanks to my loving husband. I enjoy volunteering and helping my community. I also enjoy having cook outs and sleep overs…yes still at my age. A little about the things I like to cook. I like to cook fresh home made from scratch dinners, breakfasts, lunches, and desserts. I prefer to bake over anything but I love to cook for my husband. I usually bake at least one dessert a day. When I bake these delicacies I always have an overabundance of it so I simply just give it away to my neighbors and locals. Besides better they eat it than me, I always say. My favorite thing to bake is cobbler. I can use this recipe to bake with any kind of fruit from apple cinnamon to pineapple. It always turns out wonderful! Lets chat about my volunteer work. My husband and I volunteer at our local animal shelter every Thursday. We are there from 1-5 pm. We enjoy spending time with the fur babies and giving them the love that...

...counter girl wanted to bring joy to the gentleman even though he was being “annoying” and behaving in a disrespectful manner by tasting all the puddings on a daily basis. I believe this quote is interesting since it tells us something about the shop girl and how she is as a person. Based on the girl’s actions and quotations, we receive a positive image of the girl. She seems very polite and caring. This is clearly illustrated in the following quote: “Pardon me sir, will you do me a favor? Let me purchase you one of these puddings. It would give me such pleasure.” (p. 96, paragraph 3, line 1). The counter girl complains about this old man to another costumer and yet she considers buying a pudding for the gentleman. Not only does she offer him a free pudding, but also does she tell him that it gives her “such pleasure” if she could purchase a pudding for him. The fact that it gives her pleasure explains a lot about the girl. We get the sense that the girl is polite and kind at the same time. Offering a stranger a free purchase does not occur normally and one should be praised if done so. Another example of the shop girl’s characteristics is evident in the beginning of the short story. Here we are introduced to her kindheartedness and compassion. The girl at the counter does not only illustrate her kindness when she offers the gentleman a pudding, but she also talks kindly behind his back. This is shown in the following quote: “Well, let him come if he wants it that bad, say I, and...

My husband is Asian and he refuses to let go of some of the Asian food items he loves. For example, he has to have bok choy instead of green cabbage from right here. Rice is another issue for us. It has to be jasmine rice from a South East Asian country. He swears there is a difference. In my opinion, it all tastes the same….bland. List all of the components of two of your meals. ...Process Essay Flan(Mexican dessert) Foods are important in every culture. Flan is a traditional Mexican dessert and there are many versions. This flan recipe is prized for it’s simplicity. If you’ve never made flan before, now is the time try this recipe. I’m going to talk how to make three different kinds of flans. Flans are really important for my culture and almost all Mexicans families eat flan for dessert. I’m going to explain how to make the caramel flan, the Authentic Mexican Flan, and the crème cheese flan. The first flan is the caramel is round and it looks just like jello. The taste you get in your mouth is like creamy pudding with the taste of a caramel in it. At the caramel flan you have to use one and a half cups of sugar, two tablespoons, three eggs, two large eggs, yolks, pinch salt. You put the oven in the oven, and let it bake for fifty to sixty minutes. It is much better if the oven you has a light n a see through, that way u can see the process. That would be a great gift for Mother’s day. The Authentic Mexican Flan taste is so different, the taste of it is similar to vanilla and creamy and the shape its round. The flan haves a good color is kind of yellow that makes it looks so good. You got to preheat the oven 323 degrees to make the flan. Combine the cream, cinnamon and coffee powder in a small saucepan over medium-low flame. Temper the egg mixture by gradually through a strainer into a large bowl, cream together whole eggs and yolks with the remaining...
