... November11, 2014 English Language – Purpose Driven Essay The book “The Purpose Driven Life” written by Christian writer Rick Warren is one of the top selling Christian books of all time. This book impacted me in many ways. This book tells me that I was created for God’s family, fashioned to be like Christ, designed to serve and ordained for God’s mission. This book impacts me most when it reassures me that I was created to serve (ministry) and because of this I have a better understanding of my life and why it should be purpose driven. In chapter 3 the quote that really popped out to me was “Nothing matters more than knowing God’s purpose for your life, and nothing can compensate for not knowing them.” This quote brought me to the realization that when I know what God called me to do I will have a better appreciation for God and his purpose for my life. When I know my purpose in life I would have a drive to fulfill my purpose on earth and strive everyday to continually better myself. I never knew what my purpose in life was until I had a transforming experience that brought me to better knowledge of what my purpose in life was. All my life I had a passion for playing the drums. I started out at the tender age of five beating on pots and pans. Anything that made a sound I used it. My God mother and God-brother saw deep inside of me that my purpose in life was to play the drums for the ministry so they invested into my gift and bought...

...period of stability. This modern family is more like the USA or Switzerland families which or of social reconstruction after the second world war (as for other European countries). The effect of adult learning in this modern family is the way that adult learning can alter the communities’ culture as a whole through instilling into individuals the purpose of learning, readiness of learning and the motivation to learn. I believe the foundation of every perfect and progressive society is the success story of the families that exist with in. Everyone has a specific purpose in life; everyone’s task is unique as is his specific opportunity to accomplish that very mission. Humans by nature have different interests and passions on diverse kind of paradigm that planet earth has offered. Purpose is the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists. As we grew up, especially in developing countries, we never gave purpose a thought. It was by default that we went to school, hang with friends, watch movies, have fun and repeat the same life style over and over again. But when we reach adulthood we then realize that life is perfectly...

...PURPOSEFUL CHRISTIAN LIFE Definition: Purposeful: having a useful purpose; acting with a clear aim and with determination. Christian Life: showing the qualities that are thought of as typical of a Christian, Christ like.. Some people say that we are just evolutionary result of the survival of the fittest Others think of reincarnation Most of our lives, we have been searching for a purpose for our lives, one that has a deeper meaning than just the basic action of existing on this planet. We felt that our lives were meant for something; and something meaningful and worthwhile that would give us a true reason to live. We searched for this purpose in things like relationships, a career, a job, a hobby, in school, and in many more things, only to find disappointment at every turn; because though these things could preoccupy us for a moment, they would ultimately fail at fulfilling our spiritual desire for a meaningful life. Then we find God, and we feel that we see our purpose clearly. We are full of excitement and hopeful to see what God will do with our lives. The overwhelming joy and excitement that drives us motivates us to share the good news with everyone around us, telling them of the great purpose that God has in store for our lives. We devote ourselves to learning more, growing more, and doing more for God. We surround ourselves with more and more people who call themselves Christians to glean as much as we can from them, astounded at the miraculous experiences...

Executive Summary Boeing cancelled the development of the super jumbo after it had conducted a research. What informed this decision was the fact that there was no sufficient demand to justify the $7 billion investment. Instead of pursuing further the super jumbo development they decided to stretch their existing aircraft to cater for more passengers. They had no pressure to develop the super jumbo because they had the largest passenger aircratf at the time and had no competition at that segment of the market. This means that the segment of the market was monopolised by Boeing Airbus on the other hand wanted to penetrate the long range passenger...

...Executive Summary Greg Hunter OPS/571 05/05/2014 Dr. Raymond House Jr. Executive Summary I’ve selected food services and cars for a suitable process and product design approaches. In order to manage services and deliver on-site services, there are three types of contrasting approaches which include product line approach, self-service approach, and the personal attention approach. Cars are a way of life these days without them our way of life cannot exist. The main focal point in this industry is the result. A car company must produce a quality product that fits the end-user's taste. The three main line item approaches I will discuss will be the job process, batch production, and assembly line. All are a part of the manufacturing of cars. Process Design Matrix Self-service Approach The self-service approach is more consumers driven. The efficiency of this service process can be enhanced E-tickets, Automatic teller machines, company websites which these are just some of the approaches that shift the burden to the consumer (Larson & Gray, 2006). This design approach will also be supportive of the food company, in terms of offering good quality of products to the customers as well as reducing time of service delivery (Chase, 2006). For the reason, due to self-service approach the company will be able to focus on the delivery of effective and efficient services in a less period. Product Line Approach The main focus of this approach is on the efficient...

The purpose of taking the TSI test is to recognize areas of improvement and then apply it in the workplace. This week, I will be discussing Convey, and one of his strategies that helped me develop my overarching question throughout the past seven weeks. Further, I will explain the relevance of the proactive approach in the circle of influence as a healthy individual. Briefly summary of chosen habit The problem I will be addressing relates to the direct control of the Circle of Influence. As Convey stated, “Proactive people concentrate their efforts in the Circle of Influence. They work on the things they can do anything about. The nature of their energy is positive, enlarging and magnifying, causing their Circle of Influence to increase (p.83).” Proactive people use a specific language by saying I will do, I can do better than that, I will start the project (self-initiated), and I will take care of my health. In other words, proactive people manage...

...Assignment 1.2: Summary and Personal Response In “Facing Poverty with a Rich Girl’s Habits,” (Kim, 2004) the author, Suki Kim, writes about the struggles she faced as an impoverished, South Korean, immigrant teen in the 1980’s. Suddenly Kim’s world is turned upside down and she must find a way to survive in a foreign land. She writes emotionally about trying to find a place to fit in with other teens like herself while learning a new language and culture. The writer’s purpose is to tell the story of her difficult transition from rich to poor in a foreign country. She wrote her story in the form of a memoir to reach others like her, immigrants starting over in foreign countries, but also, to anyone who may have ever felt alone and lost in new surroundings. She used a reflective tone as she emotionally described the experiences she went through. Kim starts her story by telling readers about how her life changed in the blink of an eye. Her wealthy family suddenly lost everything when her father lost his businesses and, to avoid prison time, left their beautiful estate in South Korea, fleeing to America with nothing. They settled in Queens, New York in the upstairs of a small house. Things were very different from that to which she was accustomed. She no longer had the luxuries from her rich life; riding the bus instead of being driven, washing her own clothes, and cleaning up her own messes, no governess to help with homework. In school, she joined the English as...
