Throughout the last decade, technology has advanced significantly and changed our culture and the way we live life. Alex Williams, a reporter for the New York Times and an editor of the New York Magazine, recognizes this change. This augmentation of our everyday life and social interaction of people is a preeminent topic for Williams. And in his article “Quality Time, Redefined” he theorizes that technology has incorporated beneficial attributes to family unity and communication. Williams first initial statement of the technology in a home environment comes out to be a bit negative. He refers to a family sitting in the living room together but in their own realities.
