“Freak The Mighty” is a mood twisting book that will make your emotions go crazy. The two main characters are Maxwell Kane and Kevin Dillon. Recently, I have read the book “Freak The Mighty” by Rodman Philbrick, also I have watched the movie “The Mighty”. There were a lot of similarities and differences. Concluding that I have chose to like the book numerous.

One similarity that I noticed was that Max and Freak go on several quests or missions. Also a few were hiking to the Medical Research Building, retrieving a purse out of the sewer, and returning a purse to it’s rightful owner. There are several more that took place. The first quest that Max and Freak went on was when Freak asked Max to take him to see fireworks at the County Fair. After that day those two knew that they would be friends forever.

This difference stood out to me because Max’s father acts like he doesn't care for Max much. but the way that Max's father doesn't try to choke Max it makes you wonder if Max's father really does lo Max. Apart from that Max's father ties Max up to try to make him stay. Besides that Max's father hasn't seen Max for several years.

If you ask me I would say that I like the book additionally. The main reason I like the book better is because the book gives more background information. Including who the characters are, what they have been through, and where they stand now. I also enjoy how the author makes the book he has written an made it the story of Freak The Mighty. I find that intriguing.

Finalizing the similarities and differences. Freak and Max have had their ups and downs. But besides that Kevin and Max have stuck together. Especially through the hard times. Freak The Mighty is tough. Freak The Mighty is
