ACADEMIC PROBATION
Further to the Academic Warning due to non-attendance notice dated November 16, 2011, please be advised that you have been placed on OSAP Academic Probation for the purposes of all financial assistance available from OSAP.
Please note the following: 1) You are required to show improved academic performance (grades & attendance) and must comply with the College’s Active Participation Policy or you may be required to withdraw from the College and will no longer be eligible for financial aid funding (OSAP). OSAP ineligibility means you will be responsible for paying any tuition balance to the school. 2) If you fail to meet the College’s Active Participation Policy for the purposes of continued OSAP support in the current module or future modules, the Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities will be advised and you will be restricted from further OSAP funding for a minimum period of 12 months.
You may appeal this restriction if you experienced exceptional personal, medical or family circumstances during the module when the probation or restriction was applied. In this case, you are required to provide a letter of explanation, a medical certificate and/or any other applicable documentation to the Financial Aid Office for review no later than Friday, December 9, 2011. Please note that if your appeal is denied and you are registered for classes, you will be responsible for tuition fees owing.
As we are concerned about your educational success we recommend, where appropriate, that you seek academic counseling immediately to discuss your academic progress and the steps you can take to achieve academic success.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Financial Aid
