Harmony-Seeking-Idealist: A Personality Analysis

...considering the 41Q test said I was more of an introvert than and extrovert and th Jung test said the exact opposite. However, they did have some simmilarities, like how they both said my emotions often come before my brain resulting in my results to be feeling over thinking. Furthermore, they hardly had much in common. Both of the tests or quizes were actually on the bridge of opposite which I personally find kind of interesting. As I have previously said, the tests had more differences rather than simmilarities. Some of the examples are extrovert vs introvert. The 41Q said that I was more on the introvert side of the scale; while the Jung test said I was an extrovert rather than an introvert. There was also two different opinions on sensing over intuition; with Jung saying I was more sensing rather than intuitive, and 41Q saying I was more intuitive than sensing. Judging over preciving was another subject that seemed to have two different answers. With 41Q saying I would judge before preciving; and of course, Jung saying the opposite. In conclusion, I am undecided...

Online Participation Leading to Successful Students and Healthy Learning Communities

...crucial, especially online, when it comes to successful completion. Participation is beneficial to the student, to the students’ grades, and to the learning community as a whole. The authors sought after evidence to show, “the importance of student online visibility apparent in the quantity and quality of participation” (Nagel, Blignaut, & Cronjé, 2009, 38). The study was conducted on a computer-integrated education Masters course that was 8 weeks long (Nagel et al., 2009). The course was presented fully online and consisted of students of varying age ranges. Reaserchers then chose a mixed methodology while conducting this research. This choice allowed them to explore various aspects within the course such as, students’ posts, online quizes, discusion posts, and exmination essays (Nagel et al., 2009). Many factors, for example, the amount of times participants accessed the course and discussions played a role in course completion and integration into the learing community (Nagel et al., 2009). Those who rarely were visible online did not show the same quality of success or comfort. The researchers were not certain if some of the students with little succes had difficulties due to outside factors. They believed some of these outside factors could have been poor connectivity, high visibility with little contribution, absences that were communicated to the professor, and absences that were undisclosed (Negel et...
