Reason Case was accepted for investigation:
On 7/29/17, Hennepin County Child Protection accepted a report of alleged physical abuse, domestic violence involving Mohamed by his stepfather, Hussein Mohamed. Per reporter Rahma’s husband is physically abusive to her. Per reporter police report was generated following a domestic altercation. Per reporter Rahma tried to contact police during an argument, Hussein stated” if you walk out of here alive, you can call the police then.” Hussein then pushed Rahma backward causing her to hit her head and black out. Per reporter witnesses reported observing Hussein stomping on Rahma’s head and kicking Rahma in the face. Per reporter Rehama was transported to the hospital where she was treated for significant injuries. …show more content…
Rahma showed CPI a picture of her injuries on her cell phone and stated that this injury was due to Mr. Hussein kicking her in the face. Ms. Rahma stated that she was unconscious at the time and she end up going to hospital. Ms. Raham stated that she was transported to the hospital and her neighbor helped her right after her black out. Ms. Rahma stated that she fears at time about her surrounding. She stated since she and her son has been evicted from her apartment she has been staying with her older brother and his family. She stated that her husband is not aware of her location and does not know her brother's home. address. Ms. Rahma stated that she did a police report regarding her husband and mentioned to the police that her marriage was fraud. Ms. Rahma stated that she has not seen Mr. Huseein for a while and plans to keep it that way.
This writer asked Ms. Rahma about her own drinking. She denied any alcohol use or drug use. She denied childhood abuse, neglect and mental health. Ms. Rahma was asked about discipline techniques in the home and she stated that she communicates with her son or takes away electronics. She denied the use of physical discipline.
