How Changing Environments can affect Organization The Electronic Cigarette

The learning objective I chose was from chapter three. Discuss how changing environments affect organizations. According to our text environmental change is the rate at which a company’s general and specific environments change. Many companies achieve great success with environmental change and learning to adopt while some others fall the way side and tend to experience failure.
There are many external factors which can cause a company or better yet influence a company to change many factors when offering new to products and services to the public. The way a company comes in contact with customers and the public can have a major influence on a business. For instance technology, concerns for one’s health and spending habits are at the forefront of one’s mind when considering certain products and services. If a company fails to get with these major concerns of the public there product is typically doomed.

The electronic cigarette is something that brought great concern in the 20th century. According to A2Z Health and beauty article cigarettes killed over 100 million people worldwide in the 20th century. More than 105 billion cigarettes were sold every week, that’s ten billion per minute! And as stated by Dr. Max Snyder in his documentary “The medical Aspects of Tobacco” cigarettes are the only substance sold that when the user follows the instructions carefully, will result in the consumer becoming toxic, chronically ill, or dead. Every 30 seconds somewhere in the world dies of lung

...particular exam that you will receive is assembled from an exam question pool, so that no two students in the course will take exactly the same exam. There are separate question pools for the 30 objective questions (multiple choice, multiple answer, and matching—worth 5 points each and broken down by TCO), and the 7 essay questions (worth 20 points each and broken down by topic). The essay questions are all located at the end of the exam, so be sure to allow approximately one-half of your time for the essay questions. The essay questions can each be answered in 1-2 paragraphs. To prepare for the exam, review the following materials from each week’s material 1. Re-read the “Lecture” page, including the examples. 2. Read the instructor’s “wrap-up” to the two threaded discussion questions. 3. Review your graded answers to the weekly chapter-end homework problems. 4. Review your graded quizzes (Weeks 1-7). The objective questions are drawn largely from weekly quiz questions and chapter-end homework questions. In reviewing weekly quiz and homework answers, make sure you understand why the correct answers are correct. Re-read the relevant page(s) in the text, if necessary. Ac505 Week 7 Discussion

...Week 7 Discussion Welcome to Week 7 Discussions! Let's begin by discussing the difference between capital budgeting screening decisions and capital budgeting preference decisions. According to the text screening decision are determined when solutions are measured against “preset hurdles” (pg. 628). For example there are certain predetermined phases that a solution would have to pass in regards to making a final decision. For budgets, their maybe certain profit goals or certain costs that need to be met in order for a company to move forward on either instituting a new product or cutting a product. Preference decisions are made by measuring a solution to different alternative opportunities. I believe the decision is made from a team’s or individual’s preference after the solution has been challenged by each alternative opportunity. How important is employee "buy-in" in a project?
