With the line up of activities to follow through, everyone assigned carried this task with enthusiasm and initiative. The participation and cooperation of the selected pupils as well as their parents was a remarkable contribution to the success of this endeavor.
The launching of this program took place at the school ground of South Cembo Elementary school on April 6 at 9:00 AM followed by the orientation and registration of selected 87 pupils to undergo the reading program.

Blue Moon

...Blue Moon Tonight is a full astrological blue Moon. A blue Moon usually only occurs if it is the second one in a single month. This blue Moon is an astrological one because the Moon has been stuck in Leo and Aquarius since the last full Moon on July 22nd. It is what is called a seasonal blue Moon It will present the third of four full moons to fall in the same season. A season is defined as the period of time in between a solstice and an equinox – or vice versa. This full moon is the third of four full moons to take place in between the June 2013 solstice and the September 2013 equinox. That makes the August 2013 full Moon a Blue Moon! This Moon is also called the Sturgeon Moon or the Corn Moon. This Aquarius full Moon has an extra bit of creative magic with the Sun in Leo. The time is potent to follow our hearts to create new pathways. There is a simultaneous shedding and emerging as we focus to ground our visions into form. Some deep activations happening as well so we must move with the changes, allow what wants to come forth, and trust our inner knowing and guidance. ...Answer: 1. In order to calculate the yearly investment in DeskJet printers, we calculate the yearly investment of the printers separately and then add them together to get the total yearly cost. There are 6 versions of the printers, which are A, AA, AB, AQ, AU, AY. The total factory throughput time through the PCAT and FAT stages is about one week. The transportation time from Vancouver to the European DC is five weeks. The plant sends a weekly shipment of printers to Europe. Therefore, the lead time is L=1+5=6 weeks and review time T=1 week. Based on the data in Exhibit 13.14 in the textbook, we use Excel to calculate the average monthly demand (mean) and the standard deviation for each version of the printers (Exhibit 1). In order to calculate the standard deviation of demand over the review and the lead time, we use the formula below: σT+L=√((T+L)) σ2d Therefore, we can get σT+L for each version, which are listed in the exhibit 2. 1. Develop an inventory model for managing the DeskJet printers in Europe assuming that the Vancouver plant continues to produce the six models sold in Europe. Using the data in Exhibit 17.13, apply your model and calculate the expected yearly investment in DeskJet printer inventory in the Europe DC. Answer: 1. The Moon

...The Moon is a vast, elegant, and mysterious celestial object of the sky. Although it doesn’t take an expert to measure the Moon, but everyone, who has some knowledge of the sky, is able to do this task. As an assignment for my Astronomy 100 class, I had a choice of projects and chose the moon. The project had me find measurements of the position, phase, and the appearance of the moon. From my window adjacent to my bed, I made observations of the moon, but as the moon made its orbit around the Earth. I couldn’t see the moon from my current position, so occasionally I moved position from my bedroom window to the outside. The night is cool and grand, but never knowing the weather; the sky could be clear, cloudy, or raining, but I don’t think I had a rainy day, so I had perfect weather throughout. Cloudy days often happened, but the moon is bright and sometimes helped me locate the moon; on the other hand, I couldn’t see the moon so I had to use a website my professor provided us. Keeping up with the date and rarely skipping days, it was smooth and I was able to view the moon even if the weather and the appearance of the moon changed over time. Beginning on October 27, 2014 to November 17, 2014 while some days where skipped. I was able to see a Waxing crescent, first quarter, Waxing gibbous, Waning gibbous, Waning crescent, and especially a Full Moon on November 6, 2014, and about becoming less to more brighter or vice-versa, but the intervals from New to Full moon was zero. ...

Waning Moon Research Paper

...As the Moon decreases in size, it goes from full to dark, The moon is in her Crone aspect and this is a time of letting go, it is also a time of completion. The moon is waning as it gets smaller again, after the full moon. As the moon seems to disappear in the sky. Like the waxing moon phase, it lasts about 14 days. Goddesses associated with this phase of the moon are Callieach, Banshee, Hecate, Kali, Morrigan. The Waning Moon will slowly reduce in appearance on its way towards the New Moon Phase. The Waning Moon is the point of time where the Moon appears to get gradually smaller, similarly with the Waxing Moon there is a Gibbous phase of this process known as the Waning Gibbous. The Waning Gibbous is the point between the Full Moon and half way through the process of the Moon becoming the Crying Moon, once the first quarter of the Moon has gone out of sight it transforms from the Waning Gibbous Moon to the Waning Moon. Instead of pulling energy in, we are pushing energy out. some Pagans, Wiccans and Witches do not like working with the Waning Moon because a lot of the time it focuses on the negative energy, however I feel that all of us need to remove negative things from our life, be it people or influences or emotions. this is NOT working negatively, you are getting rid of negativity. It is importnat to remember the Law of Three, of course. Any time we send out negative energy we need to balance things out with positve things. So if you are working negatively you should...

Magnocellular Deficit Theory Analysis

...Dyslexia is a developmental reading disorder, that affects how well individuals can read and spell. (Huktquist 2006). These differences occur when individuals learn to read and process the written language (Martin, Carlson and Buskist 2013). Children and adults are mostly affected from this learning disability as it develops when growing up (Martin, Carlson and Buskist 2013). It has been estimated that 1 in 10 of the population potentially have dyslexia in the UK itself and varies across the world (Pennington 1990). Individuals are affected to different scales by dyslexia (Martin, Carlson and Buskist 2013) and it has been reviewed that irregular IQ scores are not linked to dyslexia in any form (Siegel 1989). A lot of research has been conducted in this field and researchers have looked into core problems of dyslexia. This essay is designed to explain and evaluate the magnocellular deficit theory of dyslexia, and the theory will be used to propose an appropriate intervention to benefit dyslexic children in primary schools. The Magnocellular deficit theory identifies that dyslexic individuals have a measurable disorder of the fast processing pathways of the visual system (Greatrex and Drasdo 1995). These pathways process the visual...

Reading Attitude Survey Project

...have established that reading should be fun and most students only read because their teachers make them. The reading attitude survey I conducted proved that. I chose my 9-year-old daughter Lynnleigh who is in the fourth grade to take the survey. I started the assignment by reading the article “Measuring Attitude Toward Reading: A New Tool for Teachers” and then I sat down with her and asked her to take the survey. She gladly accepted and began to read the questions and circle the pictures. The first circle was the semi-grumpy Garfield and the second and third circles were the very grumpy Garfield. I have to admit I was surprised by her answers because she is a very bright girl, as I watched her continue to circle the grumpy Garfield pictures I began to get concerned. Lynnleigh answered question numbers six, nine, and ten by circling the happy Garfield. On question numbers, two, three, five, and seven Lynnleigh circled the very grumpy Garfield pictures. These questions were all about how she feels about reading during non-school hours. This showed me that she does not like to read outside of school. Lynnleigh answered question number 15 in the survey "How do you feel about learning from a book?" and number 19...
