Reasons Property Adjusters Leave at Homesite

.) Constant job openings – We take 6 months to hire a class we have also have had a dept (theft) without a supervisor for a month. There is a property team that has three people on it and we are on a hiring freeze?
.) Distribution – the more you close the more you get assigned distribution is not even close to even. Some adjusters keep a high pending so they avoid getting re-assignments. Some adjusters actually let their pending get so high knowing that a supervisor will take them off claims. Also the system is flawed where if you take a PTO on a Friday you do not get claims for the entire weekend.
.) Dress Code- Jeans a couple days a week was fine and shorts was nice when it was 100 degrees outside but I don’t want to see people in their pajamas. This is sending a message that this is not a serious place of business.
.) Raises- Homesite doesn’t give more that 2% at a time unless they know your raise will be pro-rated.
.) Advancement – There is no opportunity to advance in Homesite as the openings stay open until someone from the outside applies. Only if it stays open for months then will they consider an inside hire.
.) Getting paid – Whether it is overtime or pager duty getting paid seems to always get missed and you don’t get paid on time. When you ask for answers nobody in management has an answer for you, except we will correct it on next pay.
.) Money – Did I already say that?
.) No recognition for hard work
.) Inadequate training to hand the large amount of claims
.) Management provides no direction or help with claim volume
.) No standardized way to work a claim b/c everyone does things their own way and sets up claims differently
.) Nothing in IT every works as its designed ex Quplix always being down, or slow……OIT notifications.ISO report don’t run automatically, when FNOL transfers calls the PH’s can’t hear the adjuster
