...shopping cart functionality to Kudler’s site and how to optimize their site for search engines. We will also discuss the steps that where taken, challenges and obstacles that arose, changes and improvements that we made as we improved the functionality of Kudler’s website. In order to accomplish this task, we split the assignment into seven subtasks or areas of concentration. These seven subtasks are as follows: Identify basic XHTML tags and attributes used in your prototype; Compare how different web browsers display our prototype, what differences we noticed in the web browsers and what caused them; Describe how Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) were used to format the site’s web content; Explain how JavaScript® arrays, loops, and conditional statements were used in our prototype; Identify professional web development standards we used in the development of the prototype; Explain how Metadata might promote this website; and Identify the process we will use to publish, maintain, and redesign this website. As we began to improve Kudler’s website, we started with the development of a prototype and following our seven subtasks, brought us to identifying basic XHTML tags and attributes within the prototype. In this prototype, there are several different types of simple XHTML (Extensible Hyper Text Markup Language) tags and attributes being used. While learning XHTML, we discovered that these tags are similar to HTML and found that it was as simple as understanding HTML. Tags, simply put...

...the place unable to focus on just one subject of the entire web page. Also upon first view the user may just close the web page and find another place for shopping needs because of how the Arngren site is currently set up. In order to get potential customers Arngren should make better use of their Meta and title tags. By changing the title tags from the extremely long title tag currently used more Internet web searchers will find their website. From going from over 20 words to Arngren Products will help immensely. The Meta tags for their keywords should also be shortened down and not includes their web address. Listing their best sellers in their keywords would be a better option that using over 40 keywords; for example; . Meta tags do not need to be stuffed with keywords. In most cases one instance of the keyword is enough. The use of too many keywords stuffed into the Meta tags looks spammy. If two keywords need to be used that are the same the second instance should be in a variation of the first keyword and not a repeat of it. For example TV, Television would work as a variation of the first keyword. Also using an updated PageBuilder would help immensely. The Arngren site does not currently look like it has been updated other than to add a Christmas banner across the bottom of the home page. Making use of alt tags to added images and in the HTML code when the image is called for in the HTML code of the web page will help in describing the images by using unique descriptions...

...Facebook vs. Twitter The World Wide Web (www) was opened to the public on 1993, since then on, a new platform arises, the “Social Media”. As the internet users worldwide grew significantly, so is the need of the people to get in touch, share and be connected. According to Nation, D (2014) “Social networking is based on a certain structure that allow people to both express their individuality and meet people with similar interests. This structure includes having profiles, friends, blog posts, widgets, and usually something unique to that particular social networking website.” It became a new lifestyle for the new generation. Facebook the most popular social networking site with more than 150 million users competes with Myspace that caters to the youth and Linkedln for the adult and professionals. The real competition for Facebook is the microblogging site, Twitter. Both Twitter, with its 6 million users and Facebook shares the same mission and some features in common yet on a different platform seems to be embarked on a collision course. The focus of this paper is to define how both of the organization adapts to a fast pace technological advancement, the similarities and differences of Facebook and Twitter and to understand how they employ strategies in decision making to cope with changes in technological and social factors. Validate the “how competitive forces shapes strategy”, according to Pearce and Robinson (2011, p.91). Facebook and the Competition ...

...The Website site www.espn.com is an overall well balanced with great use of web graphic design. The last of my knowledge this website redesigned their web site in the early part of 2009 from a source, “Mike Industries” by Dream host. I am going to point out a lot of the positive aspects of this web site along with what I believe could make this site able to take the step to the next level in today’s industry. I believe overall the positive’s over look some of the negatives that this site has and that unless you are an expert in web design you would never know the flaws of this site. The overall cleanliness of this site is great and the have great use of CSS. When you just glance at this site you can tell that they have spent years designing and redesigning to make sure that it is close to perfect. When you look at the site’s homepage you can tell that they use CSS because all of the main topics or heading stand out from everything else in bigger, bolder and in different colors. Also, the color design they use is good, they use the colors that are of their nature which makes up their unique distinction from all of the other sports web pages. The colors help separate the page just like the titles and headings are bold to separate the main topics. This is an overall good use of CSS. They also use good design of tables, when you look at the bottom half of the web site you see their use of tables, helping divide important highlights and facts from around the world in each...
