Success in the things you do during life, whether they are changes in your everyday activities, starting a new education, continuing education or working on your career there are many different ways to determine your success. You definitely need to be organized, if you’re a student the organization helps to make sure you are getting the best of your education, preparing for assignments properly and learning everything you can not just everything you should. Being open minded about things will help you be successful in anything you do, be willing to listen to other people and their ideas, you may end up getting an idea you never even considered. Personality is a huge make or break for a lot of peoples lives, careers and education; having a good personality and being someone that gets along with others easier or who can handle the public better will get a lot farther in life than those that are consistently in a bad mood and always thing the world is out to get them. Continuing your education is also a good life perspective to have, taking the initiative to ask questions, take extra classes, or just spend time with those who may know things you do not are great ways to continue to learn in life as well as your career.

No one is perfect, we all have things in life we need to work on, personally my organizational skills are probably my biggest downfall. There are definitely times that my life and work environment are very organized and details and then there are other parts of my life that I definitely need to work on time management skills better. From the skills I have listed above I try to live by them daily, I am always open minded to new ideas and opinions and as for personality my belief has always been to get along with anyone unless they give you a severe reason not too. I also take every advantage point I can to learn more, I have never been one

Biblical & Secular Views on Counseling

...Running head: Biblical & Secular Views Biblical & Secular Views on Counseling John Smith Liberty University Abstract Whether a counselor comes from a strong Christian background, or a secular one, the goals of the professional should remain in the best interests of the client. Still, it remains important where the views of that counselor originated from and where the source of their motivation and ethical standards are derived. This paper attempts to compare and contrast the viewpoints of secular and biblical worldviews, as it relates to the counseling profession. Biblical & Secular Views on Counseling No matter what philosophical background counselors come from, the theme of their work should remain the same: It is all about the client. Whether a counselor uses the Code of Ethics adopted by the American Counseling Association, (2005) or the code adopted by the American Association of Christian Counselors, (2004) the goal of the professional still need to keep the client’s best interests at heart. Still, with this thought in mind, Christian and secular groups differ in the ways in which they go about not only helping clients, but how they define their perspective roles in the exchanges between the therapist and the client. In order to accurately evaluate the ways in which Christians view the role of the counselor, it is first important to go to the source of their opinions of the matter;...

PREFACE Rationale We agreed to produce the instructor’s manual for the sixth edition of A First Look at Communication Theory because it’s a first-rate book and because we enjoy talking and writing about pedagogy. Yet when we recall the discussions we’ve had with colleagues about instructor’s manuals over the years, two unnerving comments stick with us: “I don’t find them much help”; and (even worse) “I never look at them.” And, if the truth be told, we were often the people making such points! With these statements in mind, we have done some serious soul-searching about the texts that so many teachers—ourselves...
