Relaxation on the beach
One of the most interesting things that happen to me was going to Galveston, Texas. I usually like to try and visit all types of places. However, Galveston was completely different than any other place that I had ever been. I was so weird to see a place that was below sea level at some spots and above it to where you could see it in other. It is a beautiful beach there, I loved looking into the ocean and actually relaxing and being able to look out and see all the different types of activities that people do. I can remember the one other time I went to a beach it was completely different the sand was dirty and it has so much debris in it that was never cleaned up. However this time it was not any trash on the beach there were people who were actually surfing on the waves and lying on the beach sunbathing. It was so surreal it was like watching a movie that we have all seen as children about what an actual beach looks like. It was even more amazing that I was there to watch a dance competition for a group of young ladies who are beyond talented and I am proud to say that I know them personally. Personally, I have always thought of the beach as my hideaway spot that I would love to run away to if I was ever stressed or lost or scared. I feel that would be the place to take my mind off it and even just give me a chance to actually think about the best way to handle what is going on and also make the most of the situations ending whether it would be good or bad. I just think the beach is an excellent location to clear your mind and find your inner peace and clarity. I know that different people come to relax in different ways however when it comes to me just to know that there is another place that I can seek comfort besides being at home is quite an amazing feeling

Also, most women tend to visit some salons in order to enjoy themselves. The concept of creating a lifestyle women club that will cater to the needs of a traditional Arab woman in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia stemmed from the idea of summer fun at the beachfront, perfect getaway and relaxation, fitness and wellness, makeovers and entertainment, and other social activities designed specifically without necessarily going against traditional customs and beliefs. Thus, the lifestyle women club has the objective of improving the quality of life and adding value to each member and guests of the proposed club. Descriptive Essay the Beach

...in the world has a place where they can go to relax. Where they can forget about all their worries and just breathe in some fresh air and not have to think about what needs to be done and when. To many, the beach is the ultimate place for relaxation. As you stroll along the beach you can feel the sand in your feet and the waves hitting your legs. Under the surface you can feel your feet step on little seashells as you walk. When building a sandcastle the sand sifts right through your hands. Walking on the boardwalk there are too many smells to remember them all. The smell of the ocean salt is the most prominent. The smell of French fries, and Fresh popped popcorn fill the streets. What you see when your visiting the beach is simply amazing. Watching all the little children run around in the waves and building sandcastles. Adults are rubbing sunscreen all over themselves and their children. The waves crashing down out in the ocean are breathtaking. If you’re lucky you may even be able to see dolphins swimming in and out of the water. The beach is just one of the world most relaxing destinations. Whether you’re in Ocean City, New Jersey or The Dominican Republic. What you see, touch, and feel when you’re at the beach will be forever unforgettable. To me, the beach is the best place on...

Descriptive Beach Essay

...hot summer day, a great place to go is to the beach. You would go out to the beach to enjoy the water, the sun, the activities that are happening, or just to be with family and friends. When you're at the beach, there are some very distinct smells. You can smell the salt from the water along with the heat from the sand. My most favorite smell of all is the sweet coconut smell of sun tanning lotion that people put on themselves while they lay into the sun to basically "cook." If you're looking for a quiet day of relaxation at the beach, I don't think that will work out too well. The beach is always really loud throughout the day. You can hear the loud motors of the boats and the waves of the water as they come crashing through to shore. You'll definitely be able to hear the laughter and the excitement of the kids of all ages as they splash around, play games, and build sandcastles. While you're at the beach you can always get involved in some fun activities, if you aren't able to relax. You can go fishing, if you like touching the slimy scales of the fish and the soft touch of the cold water. Just make sure you don't get the rough, coarse sand in your shorts because you won't like that too much. Overall the beach is lots of fun to go to, if you just want to get away from the busy everyday city life. If you are there early enough, you will be able to see a beautiful, bright sunrise and if you enjoy staying out on the beach until the evening, I'm sure you can catch a...

...SIESTA KEY BEACH, MY FAVORITE LOCATION Of all the places that I have visited, there has never been on that has made me feel as relaxed and content as I do at Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, Florida. With the sound of the Gulf waters crashing on the soft white sand, the warm sun beating down and the squawking sounds of the seagulls flying overhead, I could sit there for hours. The impact that sitting on Siesta Key beach has on my sense of touch, smell and sound, is one that I have yet to experience on any other beach. I remember the first time I went to Siesta Key Beach with my family. I was about 10 years old. I remember feeling overwhelmed with excitement as I stood on the white sandy beach and looked out into the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The sand is baby powder soft and feels wonderful on your feet. It as if you are getting your own personal pedicure with every step you take along the beach. The sand never gets hot which makes it pleasant to take long walks along the shoreline. The first time I went swimming in the Gulf of Mexico I was amazed at how warm and salty the water was. It was like taking a bath in the world’s largest bathtub. There are several outside showers along the beach for you to rinse off the dried salt left on your body after your swim. The sweet smell of the gulf waters reminds me of when I use to live on a lake. Those were such happy times for me. When I am not basking in the sun or swimming in the salty waters of the...

The Beach

...Descriptive writng. The Beach The beach is a relaxing getaway. There are various things about the beach that stick into my mind. The three main things that stuck to me was the view, smell, and the sound. All the way from beauty of the ocean, how the colors in the sky blended with the motion of the water. I will always remember the sound of pelicans calling each other as they swooped just in front of the orange sunset to scoop the sea water in their flabby necks. Even the taste of the air mixed with the smell of the sand that just made every sense open wide. I will always remember this moment. It was the only time I have ever felt that I had no worry in the world. The view itself would make you never want to leave. The sky blended perfectly from a fire tangerine orange to a soft baby blue. In between the loudest light of red and the quietest shade of blue, lay the deep purple of a night sky waiting for it’s time to take over the sky. The motion of the water drew you in closer to the shining sun just above the water with the moon shining directly above you like a spotlight. The waves were calm with ripples in every direction possible. The tide pushed the shiny wet sand flat as a plate. The shadows of birds flying towards the sun made me think if they were never going to stop until they actually reached the sun. The smell of the ocean is what made this experience one of a kind. The fresh air that wafted in the air gave me the chills that ran up both my arms. The wet sand mixed...

...How to Make a Sand Castle For young and old alike, a trip to the beach means relaxation, adventure, and a temporary escape from the worries and responsibilities of ordinary life. Whether swimming or surfing, tossing a volleyball or just snoozing in the sand, a visit to the beach means fun. The only equipment you need is a twelve-inch deep pail, a small plastic shovel, and plenty of moist sand. Making a sandcastle is a favorite project of beach-goers of all ages. Begin by digging up a large amount of sand (enough to fill at least six pails) and arranging it in a pile. Then, scoop the sand into your pail, patting it down and leveling it off at the rim as you do. You can now construct the towers of your castle by placing one pail full of sand after another face down on the area of the beach that you have staked out for yourself. Make four towers, placing each mound twelve inches apart in a square. This done, you are ready to build the walls that connect the towers. Scoop up the sand along the perimeter of the fortress and arrange a wall six inches high and twelve inches long between each pair of towers in the square. By scooping up the sand in this fashion, you will not only create the walls of the castle, but you will also be digging out the moat that surrounds it. Now, with a steady hand, cut a one-inch square block out of every other inch along the circumference of each tower. Your spatula will come in handy here. Of course, before doing this, you should use the spatula to smooth...

Beach

...The Beach On a hot summer day, you would go out to the beach to enjoy the view, the weather and the water. It was a sunny Friday afternoon when I decided to take my observations with me out into the world. I find that my imagination wanders off on its own and takes trips to the ocean without me, so I figured my body had some catching up to do. With a snap of my fingers and a short ride through the mountains. I found myself at my childhood playground, Santa Cruz Beach. The location is near the ocean side, steep rocky hills to the left and sand for days to the right. I ran down to the sand as fast as I can and without hesitation I laid my towel down upon the tiny grains and chips of rocks that the oceans might had turned into sand over the years. I took a moment to put my life on hold and gaze at what nature had to offer to me. I reflected upon all of the other places I could have been instead of standing with my toes curling in the warm sandy beach and smiled in appreciation of my situation. It was perfect weather out for a day at the beach. The clear sky didn’t have a single cloud to block the rays of the radiant sun. I could sense the feeling of ultra relaxation from the outstretched deep blue canopy above and the penetrating warmth that emanated from the sky and wrapped around my skin like a warm blanket on a cold winter’s night. Every once in a while a cool breeze would pass by and ease away the sun’s intense heat bath for brief moment. I could feel grains of sand...

...principle. Systematic Desensitization is used to treat the fear of phobias that a person may have. Systematic Desensitization uses two techniques the hierarchy of fear and relaxation techniques (McLeod, 2008).   How Systematic Desensitization Works The first step in systematic desensitization is to provide a patient with some relaxation techniques ("wiseGEEK," 2003-2013.) This is used to help the patient to remain calm during the next step in system desensitization. The second step in system desensitization is to create a hierarchy of fear ("wiseGEEK," 2003-2013.) This is step is done with the help of the therapist. Both therapist and patient create a list of things that frighten him or her or what things may through him or her into a panic. The list is composed of things that frighten the patient the least to the things that may frighten the patient the most. The hierarchy of fear will help the therapist to know which phobias to start within a systematic desensitization program. Next the client will have to imagine him or herself in feared situations (Ankrom, 2013). An example would be a person who has a fear of speaking in front of large crowds. First, the patient will need to imagine him or her talking in front of a small crowd of people. With the growing anxiety, he or she will need use the relaxation techniques that were learned in the beginning stage (Ankrom, 2013). As he or she will begin to feel comfortable, he or she will need to imagine him or her speaking...

Running along the everlasting beach, his feet are stripped of shoes; every stride his feet are captivated by the refined sand. While gazing at the horizon, vivid sunlight peeks through the mountain tops. While running down the beach, his eyes begin to squint from the intense rays of light exhibited from the sun. He reaches for the sunglasses on top of his head to shield his eyes as he continues gallop down the beach. As the run comes to an end, he is saturated in sweat and likely to dive right into clear cerulean Blue Ocean. He flings his sunglasses into the sand and sprints into the water like a lifeguard saving child, he is immediately refreshed by the warm ocean water. The ambient temperature begins to rise outside, the sand is no longer tranquil and soothing to his feet, it begins to feel like being barefoot too close to a campfire. People of all ages begin to lay out on the beach soaking in the abundant sunshine. Surfers are spotted the distance of two football fields into the ocean, enjoying the colossal amount of waves clashing into the reef, while children are playing in the moist sand just off the shore.
