Before the film was played, the executive producer Kenneth L. Hunter and the co-producer Hakan Berberoglu made some brief introduction about Love is a Verb. In my opinion, Berberoglu is a better speaker compare with Kenneth, Berberoglu told us some story about him and the film with very specific example, made others feel it’s vivid, and he also involved audiences to answer question by hand up our hand. Because of him, I feel the film should be interesting, and then the film started.

The whole film was related to a beloved teacher Fethllah Gulen, I have to admit when I first saw his image, and I don’t feel he is such a great person, conversely, he looked quite formidable. But my mind totally changed at the end of the film. He is the greatest person, he definitely deserve the name of “one of the most influential leaders in the world in 2013”. For me, the most impressive part of the film started with a boy talked in good English and described his own thought of his future in a safe and clean school. Then the camera moved to the other situation that numerous of people were suffering from the war, at this time, Gulen brought several teachers with him to that battle, by risking their life to build school. That sounded ridiculous for many people, why bother to teach when people when they cannot even solve the food and shelter problem. But Gulen said they have to come and teach refugees to love and learn, so that they won’t be carried away by hatred, so that they will have the meaning in life. And Gulen insisted to teach and played music with students every day with professional instruments. From the film, I can still feel people’s relaxing and joviality during the performance.
