DR.JOSE RIZAL
Does his name crash into your nerves? YES, Indeed? I believe that in our present generation, all of us know DR.JOSE RIZAL. We can certainly see him in one peso coin we have in our pocket. We always hear his name in every history lesson that we have. Another thing is that, we always commemorate him on his special days. A lot of heroes sprout out under the Spanish regime. They are those brave and dauntless men and women who strive their best just to attain the freedom of our country. Most of them have carved their names in the Philippine history. However, one name outshines and take a lead step to become the national hero of the Philippines. He was no other than -Dr. Jose Rizal.
Dr. Jose Rizal was a versatile genius in the Philippine history. He was the great one who sacrificed his life for the sake of Filipino people. Rizal was an illustrious man who opened the mind of every Filipino to fight for their rights. Embedded in him was a desire to help his countrymen who were belittled by those ruthless tyrants. He was so valiant to enlighten the mind of the Filipinos. He further exposed all the haughtiness and injustices executed by the Spaniards. Moreover, he was truly a patriot. He never wanted to see his fellow countrymen being coerced by other nation.
Nowadays, Rizal`s works and life are important facets of today’s education. They serve as a great model as well as inspiration to the Filipino youth. The fact that Rizal believed that education would empower the nation, greatly contribute to the desire of every Filipino youth to pursue their education.
Consequently, I always looked up how Rizal valued education. His belief, ideals, advocacy can be gleaned how eloquent I am seeking for new knowledge and ideas. Likewise, I know that Rizal continuously light the step of the every Filipino youth. His brilliance of wisdom serves a beacon that guides youth to

The NLUMA was opposed by the real estate sector as the act will negatively affect the housing backlog, real estate boom and global competiveness. It is said to be that the bill was too pro-peasant. The conversion of land in the Philippines is more on the growth of real estate and not by the manufacturing sector. It is driven by interest and thirst for money by capitals instead of providing for the need of the masses. The relocation sites for informal settlers are said to be the safety of the IS from the hazard of living near flood prone areas. They were relocated off city such as Bulacan, Rizal and Cavite. Angono

...Rivera, Lieca R. June 6, 2016 Sec 1 Prof. Pelias Reflection: We visited 5 places in our Viaje de Angono. We depart from Santolan Station by roughly 8 am. The travel time to reach our first destination which is the Rizal windmill is 2 hours, as far as I remember. I have not been to Ilocos Norte to witness the famous Bangui Windmills, and it is included my bucket list to have a picture with those. I was really amazed to see the wind farm in Rizal since it seems like I get to see those in Ilocos. I also found out that the same company is operating both the Bangui and Pililla windmills. The Pililla windmills are on top of the hills overlooking the beautiful plains of Tanay Rizal on one side and Laguna on the other side. One will also get a very good view of Laguna de Bay. There are infographic boards there about Pililia and the wind farm. One interesting fact on why Pililia was chosen as the site for these wind turbines –these hills have a natural wind corridor with a monthly average of 36kmh windspeed passing through the hill and heightens during Amihan (north-east winds) season from October to March. We took plenty of photos with the wind mills for remembrance. Also, we bought memorabilia that the residents are selling there. We had our lunch after windmills. Then, we went to Nemiranda Art Haus and Balaw-balaw restaurant. This arthouse is surrounded by mythical relief murals and three dimensional mythological characters such as the “Ang Nuno” , “Habagat” and...

...Punta de Fabian is located on Manila East Road, Barangay Evangelista, Baras, Rizal that is not far away from our house, you can get there maybe 10-15mins if you are living in Baras. Great food, friendly staff, cozy and high tech rooms, complete facilities, and everything you would ask for in your second home is in the famous and first-class, Punta de Fabian. Even though I only got to experience the cheapest but also of high-class room, I enjoyed the glamour of the place and felt like a very important guest.  First to talk about is the food. "Wow!" I think this expression summarizes everything about the food in Punta de Fabian. First we had is their pastry, tea and coffee. The croissant was really delicious, the coffee was great and the cookies were perfect. I even learned from Tracy, one of the hotel's trainees (if I'm not mistaken), that their pastries were being purchased by other hotels and restaurants. We had our sumptuous breakfast. Almost every kind of breakfast food was served in the buffet. I was amazed by the, delicious juices of every kind, and the unfamiliar fruits that taste so good, not to mention the excellent staff that assisted us. My stay at Nielsen's was really awesome and satisfying. Next are the friendly employees. The moment I arrived at the hotel, I was very nervous and insecure of how I look and present myself because of the formal environment of Punta de Fabian. Thanks to one of the staff who opened the car's door and greeted me with a friendly voice...

...CHAPTER 2 LOCATION GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION TOPOGRAPHY HISTORICAL INFLUENCES Calinawan Cave is situated in Barangay Tandang Kutyo of Tanay, Rizal. History tells us that the cave served as hideout by Filipino revolutionaries during Spanish-American war, and a shelter during the Second World War. According to local folklore, it is where the Japanese and American troops settle their disputes. Thus, the Filipino word “Calinawan” comes from the word “Linaw” which means “to settle” or “to clear”. Long before the coming of Spaniards, Tanay was already settled by early Indonesian and Malay voyagers. Artifacts dug up attest to the existence of these early settlements. Not long after the conquest and subjugation of Manila and the surrounding lake areas by Salcedo in 1571, Franciscan missionaries arrived to Christianize the inhabitants of what is now the Morong-Pililla area. From Morongan, the priest administered Tanay and other chapel villages and ranches. In 1773, construction of the now famous Tanay Church was begun and was finished 10 years later. Tanay became a Municipality in 1894 as an effect of the Spanish Maura Law. The first election of Public Office took place in 1895-1898 and 1898-1900 under the Revolutionary Government of Philippines. Tanay members of the Katipunan fought valiantly during the Revolution against Spain. The town was the headquarters of the second military area of the Philippine Revolutionary Government under General Emilio Aguinaldo. And for a brief period...

Who Holds the Key?

...WHO HOLDS THE KEY? Who will not praise the dedication of Dr. Jose Rizal which he showed in his life to liberate his beloved country, the Philippines? The dedication evident in his life became the fuse to have a revolution in 1898. He ignited the patriotism of Filipinos after he was shot in Bagumbayan (now Luneta), Rizal. Today, Filipinos commemorate the martyrdom and heroism of Rizal. But why Rizal? What makes him different from other Filipino heroes? Rizal has many dreams for the Philippines. Not only the desire to be free from the hegemony of oppressive Spanish but also having poor education of Filipinos who often defy the Spanish. Spaniard’s memorable word, “Indio”, which is a term that means illiterate, gave him the idea to erase the burdens of the Filipinos. Rizal wants to lessen the difficulty of life that the Filipinos have by educating them. Education is the key for poverty to leave the Filipinos. Sad to say, the dream of Dr. Jose Rizal to eliminate poverty in the Filipinos remains a dream until now, also, almost gone in his saying, “Ang Kabataan ang Pag-asa ng Bayan”. Where are the young men referred to his quote? The young hopes of the people see no hope at present. Many young people are addicted to computer games, social networking and peer pressure. Many of them were prejudged as naive and unethical because of the presence of their actions in the society. Many were involved in murder, robbery, rape and other bad acts. Another burden was that their parents were...

Monroy lived at the Rizal residence and instructed Jose in Spanish and Latin. Unfortunately, after 5 months of teaching, he passed away. After Monroy’s death, Rizal’s parents decided to send him to a private school in Biñan. Life and Studies in Ateneo (1872-1877) In 1865, college began to function in the Philippines when the Jesuits returned. Jesuits were considered as the best educators in Spain, and perhaps in Europe. So they established an institution called the Ateneo de Municipal. The Instruction of Jesuitical system was considered advanced. Their methods were less mechanical and rigid in discipline. Jesuits introduced physical culture as well as art cultivation, such as music, drawing, and painting. Agriculture, commerce, and mechanics were part of their vocational courses. Being a religious institution, Ateneo’s principal purpose was to mold character. Rizal entered Ateneo de Municipal in 1872. He describe his first professor, Fr. One Sunday morning, after the mass, Esperanza indirectly asked Alfredo about the visits they did. Uneasy feeling crept into his thoughts about the girl next door(Julia). Esperanza wanted to know if Alfredo goes straight at home after mass. Alfredo realized that after every mass, he was excited to go on “neighbouring” 6. Alfredo answered untruthfully, he said he went home to work or sometimes he goes neighbouring with Don Julian to Judge del Valle’s house Esperanza dropped the topic.
