The conclusion of Team B is that a renewable resource is one that can be replenished in a short amount of time, and a nonrenewable resource is one that cannot be produced at the same rate in which it is being consumed. Some examples of renewable resources are wind, solar and water. These resources are seen by the team as the more preferred resources to be used. Along with being able to be reproduced at a faster rate, these resources are also less destructive to the environment in the way of greenhouse gases and pollution. Wind turbines and solar panels are used quite frequently, and while they are still in the beginning stages of their production, they are seen as promising energy sources that, we believe, should be implemented. Our team feels that this nation should take the lead in researching new energy resources and becoming more eco-friendly, while at the same time, creating new jobs in the process of bringing these resources to good use. The team also discussed that it would be beneficial for certain areas to install different resources, such as wind turbines and solar panels, depending on which area gets either more wind or sunlight. That way, these tools are being used to harbor as much energy as possible, and no land or tool is being unproductive and idle. Some examples of non-renewable resources are fossil fuels, such as natural gas and coal. These resources, while they have served their purpose over the years, have proven to be caustic of pollution, air, water, soil, but also greenhouse gases, creating more problems for our environment.
