A situation that has turned out differently from what i expected was the idea that i had about university life.it started when I finished the high school and that time I thought university life would be quite and easy to manage but unfortunately that's not true. University life is completely different from what I thought.one thing that is different from what I thought is that i was sure that I was going to have a lot of free time but in my first week as a university student I had 3 entrance practices.
Another thing that is different from what I expected is that I figured that I was going to sleep more hours than when I was in the high school but now I sleep only 5 hours each day.it made me change my biological schedule because when I was in the high school I used to stay up until 11 pm and now have to finish all my homework and projects after 10 pm because that’s time when my icpna’s classes end.
Finally, when I finished the high school I hoped that I would travel to another places in my vacations but that’s impossible because I have to study in that time. I thought that summer was going to be a perfect time to enjoy my vacations but unfortunately the summer cycle destroyed my dream.
As a result, my university life was not anything similar from what I thought but I think that these kind of things make the university life interesting and

Kansas City Works

...1.0 Introduction Armco Inc. is a steel manufacturer that used to be the sixth largest in its industry in US (in 1990). The Kansas City Works within its Midwestern Steel Division was hit by the decline in the business in the US steel industry despite its good performance in the past. Consequently, it downsized and incurred significant losses in most of the 1980s. This entity produces two primary products including grinding media and carbon wire rod, one being recognized in the industry for its durability while the later being non profitable and only covering some of its fixed costs through volume. 2.0 What’s wrong with the old system? (a) Inconsistency with organization’s strategy The Objective of Armco Inc. is maximizing profits and sustaining its position among the leaders in the US manufacturing steel industry. To achieve this objective, Armco has adopted a cost leadership strategy with a broad appeal and has managed to grow bigger through joint ventures and expansion of its product lines in implementing its strategy. However, the strategy adopted by the Kansas City Works is based on differentiation due to its cost disadvantages such as union labor costs and inefficient plant infrastructure.Union labor costs in Kansas City were higher than those of some of its nonunion competitors, particularly those located in the Southeastern U.S. and non-U.S. locations. The Works had an inefficient plant infrastructure because the plant was designed to accommodate five times as many employees...

Variance Analysis

...Leslie M. Rogakis HCA 240-0500 03/29/2015 Professor Tirizia York Variance Analysis A variable department manager has many factors to consider when interpreting and analyzing a variance report. Variances can be attributed to factors such as increased or decreased volume, wage increases, cost increases for equipment and cost increases for supplies. Variance reports are a tool that can be utilized to analyze how well a company is doing with meeting current budgetary goals as well as a means for forecasting information for future budgets. In preparing a variance analysis report to be presented to the vice president, the information needs to be simple enough to understand easily, but detailed enough for the information to be useful to the person reading the report. To ensure a well-rounded variance report it should include information such as budgeted values, the actual values for the specific term as well as the overall variance. This paper will explain the relationships between variance reporting, interpreting or analyzing variance report results, and actual results of performance. A variance report is a valuable tool used to analyze a company’s or a specific department’s performance in a given period. When variances in wages occur, there are several factors that could have contributed to that variance. Such factors include higher than expected patients admittance, longer than average patient days and possibly wage increases awarded to staff. An additional factor could...

...sustainability report considers the contribution and impact that non-financial issues have on the company, it can range from Governance to Climate Change. It is a complex concept, but in summary it is “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”. – www.sustain.ucla.edu Recently reporting on certain sustainability issues have now become mandatory to report – “UK government announces that under the Companies Act 2006, companies are now required to report their emissions in their directors’ report”. * Why is it important Along with the recent introduction of the G4 standards and the GRI recommendations, the significance of a sustainability report has become progressively more critical as pressures on companies both publically and institutionally to provide and publish reports increases in light of recent natural disasters. It is said that we “use about 40% more resources every year compared to what we put back”, some companies make it their mission to make it known that they give back to the environment e.g. Velvet. There is a need for a measurement system to be put in place to assess industry’s impact however currently accounting is inadequate for numerous reasons. - - http://ezproxy.bcu.ac.uk:2055/science/article/pii/S0155998210000128 The increase in awareness has meant that external users e.g. customers, investors and even shareholders are making decisions based on these reports. How to Use a New Computer Audit to Prevent and Detect Fraud

...coin, it could be an advanced neural network application focused on detecting money laundering schemes. Whether it is simple or advanced, data analysis provides many benefits in the prevention and detection of fraud. On one hand, the fraud examiner gains insight on 100 percent of an organization’s transaction data vs. more limited manual methods of selection. Further, this approach can generally be completed in less time than manual procedures, given the automation of the work. Examiners also gain improved business intelligence as the generated reports often lead to conclusions beyond whether just fraud occurred. Such new insights can lead to suggested process improvements to the client. The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Research Foundation recently announced the posting of a free online document to help fraud examiners worldwide use computers to fight fraud. This system identifies which type of budget reports will be created to compare the actual financial activity of the company with the projected activity, when each report will be evaluated, and what information will be obtain from the reports. Once reports are analyzed by executives and managers try to determine what may have caused the budget variance as well as trying to correct the problem to improve the outcome. Budget Formats and How They Are Used The type of budget format used for a company depends on how the company wants to analyze its financial activity. The two budget formats are static and flexible.
