Hamlet
Though many of the arguments I searched date back to the turn of the century, this controversy continues despite the indifferent reaction of anyone who actually studies Shakespeare professionally. The argument is Shakespeare was too boring, uneducated, could not have possibly be the source of some of his plays. People thought someone had to write out the plays and Shakespeare was paid to claim the works. Hamlet was one of the many plays Shakespeare pieced together. The story was about a prince whose father was murdered by his uncle. Prince Hamlet was upset about the death of his father and the remarriage between his mother and his uncle Claudius. A ghost started to appear to the guards of the royal castle, the ghost was King Hamlet, and he stated he could not rest in peace because he was murdered. King Hamlet informs his son and the others he was murdered by his brother Claudius. Claudius poured poison into King Hamlet’s ear while he was asleep. After finding out this information, Hamlet began to act strangely. He did not know whether to trust the ghost or not. He battled with killing Claudius, he did not know whether to kill him or not, he also contemplated suicide. So he decided to put a play together playing out the actions the ghost said happen to him. During the play Claudius begin to act suspicious. Hamlet tried to kill Claudius but ended up killing someone else. Hamlet also had the chance to kill Claudius but he did not because Claudius was praying. Hamlet did not have the intention to kill Claudius in his sin, he wanted him to go to heaven. Even though king hamlet mentioned to Prince Hamlet, Claudius did not even give him that chance. Claudius then tried to send Hamlet to England but he escaped and stumble upon Ophelia
