...Request For Permission To Pursue Research |Paychex, Inc | |Memo To: Frank Fiorille, Director CC: Michael Silsbee, Risk Management Supervisor: Doug Baxter, Credit and Banking Risk Manager From: Danielle Cole Date: 3/16/2010 Re: Request for research proposal Request for Approval I’d like your approval for me to continue with my research on the benefits of switching to a lockbox for our invoice payments. In this memo, you will find some of the highlighted benefits that I feel will help you make your decision for me to continue with this research. A lockbox is a P.O. Box that is set up with our bank that our customers will be able to send their payments too. The bank has a machine that will open, sort and process the checks. Once the day’s checks are processed, the bank will create a file and send it to us. The Information Technology will load the file into our Oracle system and once the nightly processes run, the file will post automatically into our billing system. In my initial research of the benefits of switching to a lockbox, I have found many advantages. Switching to a lockbox could mean a reduction in costs, less errors, it would be more time efficient, and we would have an easier look up process. Switching to a lockbox could save us money by possibly reducing our head count. We have the potential to reduce our head count by two people. We could also save money because we could cut out fuel reimbursement casts. If we had a lockbox, the people...

This includes but is not limited to: market research, consumer behavior with regards to market analysis, population, income analysis, market employment trends and the norm. ...MANAGER SUBJECT: REQUEST TO PURSUE RESEARCH DATE: 12/15/2009 CC: JOHN FORT, HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER I hereby request your permission to start my research regarding the improvement of employee performance. I will conduct the research myself as a part of my profession, because improving employee performance should be one of the main goals of a manager. The research will be 3 months in duration after which I will report my findings and suggestions to you in the form of a presentation meeting. You may pose the question “why is this research necessary?” There are several important reasons we should not ignore. First and foremost, our company’s financial statements at the end of last fiscal year were not on par with our projections. We received average customer reviews and many customer complaints. All these results were directly related to a decrease in employee performance. Especially, when we compare them with the previous fiscal years and customer reviews, we can clearly see the difference in productivity. Second, the world economy is in the middle of a downturn. Therefore, as a company, we have a tough road ahead of us. With the cutbacks and layoffs that have been instated, employee morale is at all time low. Many employees, including the top performers worry about losing their jobs during these unstable times. This fear and low morale turns into low performance at work. Third, I realized that our company has never conducted research like this before...

Item 2: Kelly Actor, I thank you for your honesty and coming forth about your employment options. Because we don't want to lose you as a valued employee I will have to do further research into this matter, but ultimately I would like to conduct a performance evaluation. Thank you, Amy Item 3: Jane Swenk, I can definitely understand how the situation can be deemed unfair, especially after so many years working for the company. ...Memorandum To: Asi Clen, Deputy Chief of Planning & Operations CC: Jay Willie, Director of Maintenance & Transportation From: Danisha Benjamin, Accountant Date: February 11, 2012 Subject: Request for Permission to Research Employee Parking Lot Construction Introduction The purpose of this memo is to request permission to pursue research on the opportunity of constructing a secured parking lot for employees of the Department of Human Services (DHS). With over 1,000 employees and over 300 clients daily, the Department of Human Services is one of the busiest organizations located on Hospital Street, St. Thomas. Besides Human Services, Bergs Home, a housing community known for criminal activities and Bethlehem Shelter, a temporary housing for the needy, are located in this area. At the rear of the building, directly across from Bergs Homes and next to Bethlehem Shelter, is a newly cleared area that has become the permanent parking for employees. Issue Without predetermined parking spaces, an average of 100 cars can fit in this area. Due to the lack of security, anyone can park in an available space. Often, clients, visitors of Bergs Homes, and volunteers of Bethlehem Shelter occupy this parking area. Consequently, parking for DHS employees is affected. In addition, during 2011, a string of robberies occurred in this rear parking lot. On different occasions, three employees were robbed at gunpoint. Other...

...Search Warrants & Probable Cause Dale Langston American Intercontinental University Abstract This paper examines the many factors of search warrants it will examine the process by which a search warrant may be applied for and issued, focusing on the requirements of the Fourth Amendment. This paper will also describe probable cause and the standard by which the cause is fulfilled. In addition, it will describe and discuss at least two forms of searches that do not need a warrant. Under the Fourth Amendment, to law enforcement or anyone else in this field, individuals need be safe in their households and in their individuals against arbitrary searches and seizures (Schmalleger, 2012). As a beginning professional teacher, it is advantageous to know the legal bases of education and the programs and projects of the department. It must also be clarified about the rights, responsibilities, and accountabilities as a teacher. It is important that the beginning teacher must internalize their roles, rights, obligations, and accountability that must be performed as a professional teacher. Being a part of the organization, the beginning teacher must also be aware of the programs and projects of the department through the years to achieve the goal of improving the quality of basic education.
