If you have asphalt pavement, you probably know how important it is to maintain your sealcoating. Asphalt pavement that receives regular sealcoating can last up to twice as long; sealcoating blocks UV rays and slows the progress of caustic chemicals, including automotive fluids. Sealcoating also rejuvenates the color of asphalt pavement and helps conceal surface imperfections. Although the Las Vegas area enjoys a much longer sealcoating season than most parts of the country, certain times are better than others for sealcoating.

Sealcoating should never be applied when the pavement or air temperatures are less than 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Furthermore, the temperatures should remain above 50 degrees for the first 24 hours following application.
