Vampire Diaries
This is an popular TV series about vampires, werewolves, witches, and hybrids. Full of history, past, present, and future. This is all fiction related, things such as this don’t exist well not in our living world.
First let’s start off with the cast, main character Elena Gilbert formal human, friends Bonnie and Caroline, being caught in the trap of two vampires that are brothers, both deeply are in love with her. Stefan Salvatore her first love she fell for. Damon Salvatore as Stefan turned away her love grew stronger for Damon. They both longed to have her as they did with Katherine Petrova (Pierce), ex-lover toying with both the Salvatore brothers. Jeremy Gilbert also a human, turns out to be Elena’s cousin but refers to …show more content…
Jenna Sommers, Aunt to Elena and Jeremy until she is later is killed in a sacrifice by an Original Vampire, Klaus. Bonnie Bennett, a powerful Bennett witch, Elena and Caroline’s best friend. Caroline Forbes, Bonnie and Elena's best friend, was a normal human being at first but is turned into a vampire by Katherine Pierce killing her with Damon’s blood in her system, daughter of Sheriff Forbes. Matt Donovan, Elena’s childhood friend and ex-lover, still remains as a human. Vicki Donovan, drug addict, sister of Matt, was dating Tyler but is more interested in Jeremy. Turned into a vampire by Damon and shortly killed by Stefan for trying to kill Elena, she is now a ghost. Tyler Lockwood, trigger his werewolf gene, son of the Mayor of Mystic Falls, Matt and Jeremy's best friends, he is the first successful hybrid by Klaus, and the vampirism was reverted and he came back as a human. Qetsiyah known as the oldest ancestor in the Bennett Family also descended from a Traveler bloodline. The left remaining of the Bennett Family is Bonnie Bennett, Abby Bennett, and Lucy Bennett. Mikaelson Family known as the Originals Vampires. Lines date back to the then Kingdom of Norway in the late 10th Century with Mikael and Esther the parents, they lost their youngest son Henrik to a werewolf pack so they needed to take action to protect the rest of their children. Esther was a powerful witch she used her magic to turn Mikael and the rest of her children into the world’s first vampires from whom all vampires are descended from. They are known as the most powerful supernatural beings in the world, also for having members who are witches and hybrids. The noble Elijah, Kol the wily troublemaker, Finn the devoted acolyte, Fierce Rebekah, and lastly Klaus the bastard child. Werewolves: When the full moon crests in the sky, whoever is unlucky enough to fall under the werewolf curse turns into a wolf. If it were a choice, it wouldn’t be called a curse. Werewolves will attack humans but there prey of choice is vampires. (Lycanthropes) is an inherited condition/species. According to Jackson Kenner, there was 2 packs of werewolves in the beginning of time, there is races of werewolves like the Crescent Wolf Pack, the North East Atlantic Pack, and the Crescent Wolf Clan. The advertisement was about a man telling his mum that he was getting married. The mum naturally asked who he was getting married to, and the man shocked me with his response when he said that, “it’s not a girl, it’s bacon.” I was shocked because when he said he was getting married I didn’t expect it to be a food commercial. This advertisement got me thinking what message it was sending, and who it was targeting. It got me thinking how advertising influences our culture. We watch movies, TV show and read magazines that portray different gender stereotypes that get through us. As we consume these media, our behavior in society is constantly changing because of the impact they have has in our lives. Since we have been discussing the role of advertising in society, I decided to look at how gender stereotypes are used in food advertisements and how it affects us as consumers. This paper will look at how food advertisements portray: men, women and relationships. This paper will also analyze what accounts for these gender stereotypes.
