I found you very interesting the first time I read this book and after reading it a second time I think your image in my head are based on these events.
The first example is that. I feel like you were a lonely person. I think that this is shown when you show john and Lorraine your "best friend" bobo the baboon. it gives a good example of how alone you were after your wife died.
The second example Is when you were so excited when john and Lorraine came over for the first time. like when you tried the mental image/memory you "looked like a big baby.." and it gave the thought that once you had human contact you showed all of your loneliness in happiness because you were so very lonely and because you had contact you seemed so very happy…show more content… and you were just so done with everything. and you just seemed to not care at all. I think it showed that you knew something bad would happen the second that you let new people into your life and you regretted all that you had done previously with John and Lorraine.
the fourth example is when you show john and Lorraine the pig room. and you tell them about how it started. you said it started when you gave your wife a ceramic pig as a pun off of your name and both you and your wife continued to buy ceramic pigs. and that you continued to bu the pigs even after she died. I think this showed how much of your world was based on your wife. and then she died and you had almost nothing.
The fifth example happens before you took john and Lorraine to the zoo. and I think what happened is because you and your wife couldn't have kids and that you still had a huge gaping hole left by your wife that when john and Lorraine seemed interested in you and what you like to do. it fills most of the hole but not all because you had loved you wife for many years and nothing can fill the hole of a lost love
