“ My Her, Reverend R.B. Holmes ‘’

I feel the meaning of a hero , is someone who goes above and beyond the duties of public service to help others in their community . He or she is someone who takes a personal interest or efforts in providing a service to people in need of counseling , housing , employment and education . These unconditional acts of valor will help improve his or her community in becoming a better place to live .

Man a man of god and a spiritual leader in the Frenchtown community . He gives hope to community members which otherwise would not have type of spiritual , moral support or financial guidance .

Growing up as a child , Reverend Holmes was always told by parents and grandparents “he was somebody , he could achieve anything , he could make a difference and always give back to others in need . He was raised to be honest , to have integrity , and if he promised to do something , to do it .’’

Senior citizens . He owns the local restaurant franchise , Roly Poly , which employs many community members .” He says his vision does not stop there . ‘’ He plans , by 2020 , there will be a grocery store , student housing , a home for veterans and a financial institution coming to the Frenchtown community.

States , “ These are things that he feels , keeps him motivated and excited about life , is helping others .’’

Through all the contributions Reverend Holmes has accomplished , he says he knows “ his work still is not done .’’ In all , making opportunities for others , makes him feel good of how far the Frenchtown community has come . Helping to change other lives , gives others hope , in knowing there is someone there , who really cares . Every Sunday Reverend Holmes stands in front of his congregation , renewing the spirits of his church members and the people of Frenchtown . Reminding each of them , a community can not change unless they see change . Reverend Holmes is the change every community needs.
