Elizabeth Hoyt, a writer for the online website fastweb.com, wrote the article Do Colleges Examine Your Online Presence? in which she writes about the likelihood of college admission officers visiting an applicant’s media content. She writes about her findings of a 2014 survey done by Kaplan Test Prep which sates, “over a third (35%) of college admissions officers have visited an applicant’s social media page to learn more about them”. This is valuable information for future college applicants like myself.
