Paper is a simple material which is used all over the world. But the process of producing or making paper we can say is a long process and has its own negative effects. We all know that papers come from trees that are being cut down for fibers. After the trees are cut down, it then undergoes the processing of the wood fibers into pulp for making paper and the papers produced end up being disposed after it is used. Papermaking has its own impact to itself since it is considered one of the main causes of greenhouse effect. Also the people responsible for producing paper, releases tons of millions of hazardous substances into the air and water. But there are also people that are concerned to the environment, come up with the best possible solution, in which we can still make paper even at home and on how we can make full use of used papers.
Making and recycling paper at home is a more simple process and does not require too much energy. Recycling can be done on magazines, newspaper, notebooks and books. Before you start the process of recycling paper, you must gather the materials to be used such as recycled paper (magazines, newspaper, notebooks and books), Picture frame or any other frames, one Window screen, blender, white glue and water. After you gather the materials that will be use, you can now start making your own paper. First is for you to make a screen for drying the paper. Next is to shred the paper you’ve gathered/recycled by using your hand until you have the right amount of paper you need. Next is by putting the shredded papers into the blender with the correct amount of water. Keep blending until the shredded papers are broken down in water. After blending comes the sinking of you paper, wherein the glue is added to the water where your shredded papers are and by pouring it to the sink.
