All- American Dialects was written by Richard Lederer. Mr. Lederer was a lifelong student of language. In All- American Dialects Lederer presented many different ways that American speaks and dialects that are being used around the United States. Many states talk with different accents and broken- English. Dialects was a major way of knowing if a person is from a different state.
