Rhetorical Analysis
When writing the author uses rhetorical concepts to persuade the reader. Ethos, pathos, and logos are modes of persuasion that can be used. Knowing what strategies a writer uses, improves how you read and why some writing sounds appealing.
One form of ethos is when, friends ask what brand they should use and you try to convince them why the brand you've used is trustworthy. Another form is in advertisements for athletic shoes. Using ethos in writing can improve persuasion skills and your credibility.
Pathos gives emotion to your piece and draws it out of the audience. Examples are an animal shelter commercial, books informing readers of poverty in India, and teens trying to persuade their parents to let them do something
