Act III Scene 2: Mein Freund has a triumphant tone. There is a predominant use of strings and wind instruments, which mimic the singer’s voice and tonality. These soft instruments accentuate his deep voice. Personally, I thought the vocals were a little shaky. Act III Scene 2: Morgenlich has a soft tone. The vocals are passionate, his deep voice contrasts the feminine instruments. The feminine instruments emphasize a romance theme to the piece. Around 1:43, there is a rhythm change focusing more on the vocals. Act III Scene 4: Die selige Morgentraum-Deutweise
