Maroubra and Kogarah are the suburbs of Sydney. Both two cities have their own distinguished features. This report will compare the similar and contrast of their location, people, housing, and services features of the two cities.

The housing at the both cities is similar because their locations are not far from the CBD (Central Business District). Therefore, the median apartment price of the two cities is almost equal which Maroubra is slightly expensive than Kogarah, the respective prices are $575.000 and $420.000. In general, apartment price is cheaper than house price at the both cities, so the percentage of people live in apartment is similar, 42% and 45%, respectively.

The people of the two cities differ greatly in population and composition. Firstly, the number of people in Maroubra is twice times in Kogarah. Furthermore, hospitals in the both two cities include one major hospital and many private clinics. In term of retail services, Maroubra has the medium-sized shopping centre, small shops and cafes on major roads, while Kogarah has the small shopping centre, small shops and cafes near the train station. Besides, the education facilities in the both cities consist of public, private school and college; however Maroubra are lacking of colleges for student.
