In regards to Robert Applebaum’s proposition for student loan forgiveness, I disagree out of fear that the nation’s debt will forever be unrepayable. One could assume that if loans were relieved from the hands of students, then more money could be redirected towards stimulating the country; on the contrary to this idea, I believe Applebaum distracted readers to have blinded faith with his usage of rhetorics. This proposition supports something that will not only be a cover-up for a period of time, but also restrict stimulation, like noted by Justin Wolfers in his argument. I side with Wolfers point stating, “...give $1000 to each of fifty poor people, and nearly all of it will be spent…” The mass majority of the population enjoy shopping. The
