Robert Pikton, the pig fam killing case is one of the most recognized and lengthiest ongoing cases recorded in the history of Canada. Pickton is convicted of murdering 6 women and charged with deaths of 20 more and later on, he confessed to killing 49 women overall. Pickton preyed on women from the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver - most of which were prostitutes and drug addicts- and lured them into his farm property, took them to his trailer, raped them and killed them there. Pickton’s actions shocked everyone in the community and intervened with maintaining good reputation of Canada around the world. Robert Willie Pickton was born in 1949, Port Coquitlam, British Colombia. He was a pig farmer and so was his family for three generations.
