Rod Serling’s message to the readers of “The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street” is “When you fear a lot it changes the way you judge and opinions. For example, in the video everybody accused each other of being an alien because everybody was afraid. The theme of the story kind of starts to kick off when there’s a big flash of lightning appearing in the beginning. In the video, it shows me that everybody was being surrounded and then one person would go up to another person saying “You’re the alien.” For example, people accused Goodman for being te alien because out of all things his car was working.
